My ring was supposed to be done...

Recommended Posts

but it was done wrong! Just need to vent a little...

We ordered my ring a month ago, and since its custom we wanted to have a little time in case something happened. The ring is a thin eternity band, but instead of all diamonds, its 1 sapphire every 3 diamonds. We were assured that the stones would match my e-ring in color (I have 2 sapphire trillions flanking my diamond).

Well we called the jeweler today to check on it, and after 15 minutes on hold, the girl said that its in, but they aren't happy with it. They wouldn't tell me what was wrong though! So we went to the store, and not only do the stones not match my e-ring, they don't even all match each other! Some are very light sapphires, and some are very dark. For the amount of money we are paying them, I was really disappointed! So they are redoing it (I think they ordered it instead of doing it themselves). I only hope it gets done correctly this time, since my wedding is really creeping up!

Ooh, can I come toohuh.gif I'm always in the mood to go bridezilla on someone. LOL!!!

On the positive side, at least they said something first, rather than giving it to you and then playing it off like the ring was fine. Shows at least that they have pride in their products.

That really sucks...sorry Jenn! When I saw you write "Steven Singer", I got a little worried. That's where I got my rings from. My wedding band has been ready for over a month, but we just haven't had time to pick it up. I really hope it's ok! I think I'll send Mike over there tomorrow on his lunch break to check. Let me know how the second ring works out!!!

I'm sure it will work out, but I'll definitely keep you posted. They did my e-ring, as well as another ring Sam bought me, so I wouldn't be too worried - and you have time if there is a problem. This is the first time we've had an issue, and they didn't fight us to remedy it. I honestly think if I hadn't called today they would've just reordered it and not told us it was in. But, we'll never know on that one...

Thanks, Jenn! My e-ring is from there and Mike had no problems dealing with them before. I think as long as I go get it soon and double check it's what I want, I'll be fine, I do have plenty of time.
Did they tell you how long it's going to be til the new ring is ready? I hope not too long, that's one thing you don't want to be stressed about.
BTW (now that I already wrote a novel)...do you need the Philly girls to help you with anything in the next month or sohuh.gif Just let us know!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
