my skin gets red & itchy with makeup. Not like breakouts, just irritation. It doesn't do this with bare minerals.

Laura Mercier makes a similar loose mineral powder that's part of their "flawless face" line. I bought it before the wedding and used it and loved it. Not sure about the photos, though, the photographers warned me to be sure not to have anything shiny on my face that could reflect light.

It turned out great. It wasn't too heavy and it stayed on all day in the hot sun.
so it photographed well?

I bought the bare essentials kit at Sephora and at first I loved bare minerals. But after about a month, I noticed I had started to break out. I quit using it and my skin returned to normal. I have really sensitive skin and I have to be careful with what I use. I break out very easily.

Does anyone have experience with this?
That is kinda like me. My T-zone is super oily but my face can easily get too dry and flaky. I love b.e. even with my skin. The kit comes with some random lotion that I put on before hand and it helps with the dry parts.

I use Bare Minerals and LOVE it. It's true what they say about being able to sleep with it on and not breaking out from it.

However, I am using MAC for the wedding b/c I want a more matte finish and the MAC Studio Fix powder foundation works so well with all different types of lighting.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
