Jtds2713 Cabo Wedding Review

For Leia and other BDW brides,

I have attached the order of ceremony, poems and readings from our ceremony. I hope it helps. Our officiant is Rev. Marco Arechiga. He gave an explanation of the Filipino (and Spanish) traditions of the Arrhae, Veil and Cord during the ceremony. Rev. Marco has introduced himself in the Cabo section. I will ask him for a copy of the ceremony but you can also communicate with him through e-mails.

Here is the Cover of our Wedding Program. I just bought the Anna Griffin Wedding Program from Michaels and used it as cover and printed all the readings in Vellum paper. Remember to use the Vellum Paper that is right for your computer. I have an inkjet printer and I was using the vellum paper for laser and it bled and then I noticed that the paper was for laser so I bought one for inkjet and it was fine. Also you will notice that I have printed on two sides of the vellum paper. Most printers will be jam (even the ones at Kinkos) if you use those 5x7 vellum papers. Use the 81/2 x 11 vellum papers and print on both sides then cut it in half. Also in between the Vellum papers I have a blank white paper (regular photocopier paper) so the writing in vellum will be more visible.

I have also attached the Irish Wedding Blessing. In our ceremony we have incorporated both Filipino and Irish Wedding Traditions to honor our culture and heritage.

Thank you so much for the awesome review!!!

My wedding is so similar to yours as we are staying at the Riu, having the wedding at Sunset da Mona Lisa, using Fiestas Los Cabos as our WC, and having Juan Carlos as our photog!

One thing I was waiting to hear about most though was Mona Lisa...did I miss that review? How was the food, the service, etc?? Please elaborate.

Also, we have guests looking to book at Riu Santa Fe...do you think we should just tell everyone to stay at the Palace?

HI Amanda! Great to know that you will be in good hands! I hope Muriel of Fiestas Los Cabos will be your WC. She is wonderful!

I am revising my review of Sunset da Mona LIsa. We are just finding out from our guests that there were charges made that our guests did not get receive. I will update this review once we have settled this with SML management.

That is really difficult to answer because it wil depend on budget, tastes of your guests. Santa Fe is not a bad deal especially for us since we only paid $89 per person. I cannot give it a higher rating though because it was just too new. The major problem with most of my guests was that their credit cards were not being accepted. Hopefully this will be resolved. And dinner was really not good at Santa Fe but breakfast and lunch were ok. But everything is new at Santa Fe and if I had to choose between the problems that one of our guests experienced at the Palace (no running water, broken locks, toilet flush not working), I would rather be at Santa Fe. But I will definitely advise them to stay at the Ocean View rooms, at the buildings in front and right next to Palace and not the garden view rooms in the back. Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
