My mom finally found a dress after too many shopping trips to count and a lot of stress! We found it at Melanie Lyne's. No picture yet, but I think it looks really nice on her.

My mom and I also started the search for what she's going to wear... and we are pretty much at square one. I'll have her look through some of the dresses on here and she should start getting some inspiration. Thanks to everyone for posting what their mom's are wearing. They all looked amazing.

My mother is having a nervous breakdown about her dress - she didn't shop last year and now she has less than 2 months and the stores in Jersey don't have summer stuff yet - she's on her way to Florida for a shopping expedition tomorrow! She won't wear strapless or spaghetti straps, so it limits her - cross your fingers that she finds something so i don't have to hear her freak out...lol!!!! She's had over a year to shop - nothing like waiting till the last minute!

I found mine at JC Pennys. I am short, 4'11" and the petite section had quite a few nice ones. Not "grandma" dresses, but not "hooker" looking ones either.

I think I noticed you're in the US, so I bet there would be even more selection online for you...and better prices

Good Luck!
They are actually both from the sears website!
My FMIL (the pink bottom pic with beading) was $169 CAD I think...
