That dress is stunning! But not for everyone :) I tried a couple of BCBG dresses but they didn't fit me very well and were going to be hard to alter. I am a petite (5' 2") especially in dresses.

My mom and I went shopping yesterday and she found her dress!! Well I don't know how to post the pic, so here is the link:

JCPenney

The front looks like a halter, but the back is covered. (there is material that comes from the back of the neck, or the back of the halter, that connects to the midback section of the dress.) Don't know if that makes sense, but it looks great on her and was pretty inexpensive. She got it for $60. smile159.gif

I think its ok, but for myself I tend to wear a fair amount of black so I wanted something lighter and different.

Check and see because if a dress comes in black chances are they might have it in another colour.

Also, I don't know about where you live, but here the spring/summer stuff isn't even in the stores yet so maybe waiting another couple of weeks you'll be able to find something with colour?

FYI - this is $119 from metrostyle.com Women's apparel: Suits, Tops, Pants, Skirts, Dresses

This is kind of similar to what my mom's suit looks like. Her sleeves are a little shorter and the sheer jacket just covers her butt.

She's 55 and only 5' tall and a little on the rounder side. I really just want her to be comfortable. She never wears skirts but I think the flowy pants are a good compromise.

The suit is a beautiful champagne/sand color. She found a pair of gold/aqua/turquoise wedge heeled sandals and I'm having a friend who is a jewelery designer make her a fun-chunky necklace to incorporate all of the colors.

The JC Penny website has some nice options. FI's mom will probably go there. I'm guessing she'll want pants as well.

JCPenney : women : womens plus : dresses + occasion

Love this thread! My mom and I were JUST talking about this today! My aunt mentioned she wanted to wear a long dress, and my mom freaked b/c now she thinks she has to do the same :). I told her I want everyone to wear whatever they want as long as they are comfy and cool! So I'm gonna have to show her these pics - thanks ladies!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
