Post Your Mom's Dress!

Recommended Posts

This is what my FMIL is wearing....she insisted on something long since my BM dresses are long and we ordered it in the Jade color.

My mom on the other hand....we have less than 3 months and she still has no dress, we're looking for something orange and dressy still not so easy.  She does that though she always waits until the last minute even though I keep telling her the chances of finding an orange dress in the store is going to be slim to none.  Fingers crossed she finds something soon.

This is what my mother will be wearing except we ordered it in a fuschia color and it is gorgeous on her.  We are trying to get it shortened and angled but the seamstress we went to told us it isn't possible because of the way it is cut.  Being a fashion major, I don't believe that it is impossible so we are going to take it somewhere else.

wow, I'm surprised how many moms are so fashion forward - shopping at BCBG, Nordstroms and Neimans! my mom hasn't yet started looking (our wedding is 1+ yrs away), but she agonized over what to wear to my brother's wedding a few years back. she wouldn't do sleveless, but maybe she would with a pashmina? and I absolutely LOVE the self-confessed bridezilla who had everyone wear taupe and white - what a fab idea. I've also seen great pics with everyone in ocean colors.

good luck ladies, and for those who have already decided, please keep the pics coming. :)

Also, thanks for all the great ideas ,Ladies!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
