How long have you and your husband / fiance been together?

Brad and I have been dating since Feb 2003. Our first date was 2/15/03. Since we hadn't met yet and had just talked on the phone we didn't want to go out and meet for the first time on Valentines day because it's too romantic for us...so we picked the day after.

He proposed 3/16/07 and we will marry 5/26/08 so 5 years later! :)

Our first date was 5/13/2005. However, Tom asked me aout about 6 times for 2 1/2 years before that ... and I consistently told him "no way, not interested." Finally, I asked him out ... he made me work for the date ... but there was no turning back after that.

First date was on a Friday the 13th. We got engaged a year and one month later on 6/13/2007 ... and are doing the 'signing of papers' on April 13. So, we're keeping the 13th in play as much as possible (our new lucky number) -- but the wedding will be the following weekend just due to necessary planning issues.

We "met" in August of '05, became friends and officially started dating 3 months later. We actually grew up down the street from each other, went to the same HS and College but never really knew one another. So I guess we've "officially" been together a little over a year and a half.

We met senior year of college in January of 2000 and actually started dating in April of that same year. We bought a house together in September of 2005 and got engaged December of 2006. We'll be together over 8 years when we get married in August of 2008!

Andy and I met at a party in college when neither of us were looking for a relationship. I had a serious case of the hicups so my girlfriend pawned me off on Andy to get rid of me since I was annoying her. He told me to drink my beer from the opposite side of the cup upside down to get rid of them. Sure enough....it worked....and so did he....bunny_4.gif I personally think he was just trying to get me drunk shots.gif No one thought we would make it together since we were both "players" but boy when it hits you........no turning back smile124.gif

4/12 years later......we still act like crazy college kids in love! smile159.gif We'll have been together 5 1/2 years when we get married! That sounds like so long!

Jay and I met Oct. 2, 2004. I had just separated from my then husband. I let him keep everything we owned, I just wanted out of there! Anyhow on Oct

2nd, I walked in to Ashley Furniture store to buy a couh for my new place. When I walked in and saw Jay, I seriously got butterflies...he was so damn hot.

Anyhow...he sold me the infmous red couch. A week later he called to schedule delivery...he expedited the order...it normally takes 4 weeks, I got it in 1!!!

When the delivery guys game to deliver the couch at 9am on a Saturday morning, I was a MESS. I had just gotten home at 6am. Anyhow, they told me that my sell guy wanted him me to call him. I am sure the delievery drivers thought Jay must be losing his mind, because I did NOT look attractive at all that morning.

He came over for 2 weeks after that. No kissing, no nothing. We would lay in my bed and watch movies with a pillow in between us. The following week, we went to Austin to party with some friends...he tried kissing me and I told him that it was too late. He kept telling me that it was never too late. We played that little game for a few more minutes and kissed...It was after midnight, so out anniversary is Oct. 31, 2004. He moved right on in w/o us talking about it.

We broke up for 3 months late last year...we are now better than ever and there is no way our love will not conquer all!

So....we got engaged 2 1/2 years after dating, our 3 year anniversary is in 3 months. By the time we get married, we will be 3 months shy of 4 years together!

Wow...That was a long answer to a simple question. Sleeping Pills!! aashhhh

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
