Las Caletas Shoe Advice

Recommended Posts

We told our guests to wear flat-bottomed shoes to the wedding. Most wore some type of sandal! Once it was time for the reception, almost everyone had their shoes off anyways...

I bought what is called barefoot sandals. I also bought them for the girls in my wedding. Check seaheart.com and they have what is called nyoshoos also if you want fancier go on ebay and type in barefoot sandals and a bunch will pop up. I'm sure you'll find something on there. They are for bare feet on the beach. What I liked about the nyoshoos is that you can wear them with shoes also. I received them and they also fit kids feet because they stretch and are comfy.

Go barefoot! I had my shoes for the pictures before the ceremony - but never put them back on. All of our party went barefoot and most of our guests. So, for the ceremony - I would strongly encourage it because you will be most comfortable and it is great for running in the sand for pictures later. I had a very small heel for later - remember you will have the boat ride back...

On our wedding invitations, we put "Beach Dressy - Shoes Optional" for the dress code. cheesy.gif

We went barefoot for the ceremony, but had some "Just Married" flip flops to wear later. I kicked the flip flops off at the top of the stairs, just before I got to the spot where people could see me. Nicole left both of our flipflops under our table at dinner. It worked out great.

There is NO WAY I could have worn heels!!! In the sand OR on the stairs. I'd have been on my butt in 2.3 seconds. smile120.gif

I went to the Bridal Expo in Dallas this weekend and ordered flipflops from them: Anadia T. ? flip flops, home decor, fashion accessories, virtuous style

They're white with a fleur de lis (in rhinestones) on the top. Super cute! We're having a fleur de lis theme.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
