Hello there! I recently got engaged to the love of my life. We've been together for almost 15 years now (May 10). Yeah, I know... it took him that long while I patiently waited. But on the other hand, we were both busy with education, career, etc., plus, we are doing everything backwards anyway: got a house, cats. So, it's more of a formality now. However, all our family and friends are exhilarated and cannot wait for the big day which we haven't even set yet. 

 

So, I just started to look and I am already overwhelmed. I really want to have a budget friendly, stress free destination wedding with our closest and dearest people. So, now my head spins as to whether to do it in Mexico Playa or Cancun areas or in Dominican republic? What month should we pick? And I probably need a wedding planner/agent as well.

 

Any suggestions or inputs are greatly appreciated.

its all very overwhelming.. lol I used destinationswedding.com they showed me a bunch of resorts ( all inclusive ) and the more options I saw the harder it is to make a decision of where do I really want to get married... anyways I ended up choosing Royalton Riviera Maya, and thanks to my wedding coordinator she made it super smooth,... just be aware of the prices of the packages and how many people does it include and the reviews of that particular resort... cant go wrong with any of them im sure.. anyways good luck!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
