Maybe you can ask your WC for pictures? I really like Gazebo 55... it was private and no sandbags. There is also another gazebo... its closest to the presidential suites which I almost choose (I had never heard mention of it before). There is a lot of greenery around it but there is a rock wall behind. Its very beautiful though.
Thanks. I'm sure we'll be able to work something out. My major concern though is that I've had my dress hemmed to wear 3 inch heels and I'm not sure how I'll pull that off in the sand. We actually stayed by Gazebo 55 when we did our site visit and it is pretty. I was just hoping for a walkway. In the end I know it's just a little thing so we'll fix it or I'll just have to get over it!

You're photos were great though. THanks for sharing and writing the review!

Thank-you so much for the review and pics! it was definitly helpful!!

question for you: your ceremony site is the site I have picked. But I was wondering, were your guests able to see you, when you pulled up in the golf cart? or is there a place where the golf cart can drop you, out of sight, before walking down the aisle?

Thanks! and congratulations again :)

Gorgeous pics! Congratulations to you both, we also got married at the EDR and agree that while you have to be a little flexible it is a great location! So glad the rain stopped in time though! I would have been a mess if it had done that to me!! LOL!

Yes, the guests were able to see me when I pulled up. It was a little weird, but you are far enough away that they can't see you too closely. I don't really think there is a way around it. Maybe they could pull you around behind the set of rooms that is right there, but I don't think you'd be able to hear the music and then you wouldn't know when to go. When you get there, you can check out the site and talk to the WC about that.

THANK YOU..THANK YOU..THANK YOU!

Your review & pics have me so excited right now. I'm getting married @ EDR in July, and I was wondering, I plan on having about 15-20 people. DO you think the Casita Gazebo would be appropriate? I know it's not private at all, and it actually looks alittle tight. But, I fell in love with it since the first time I saw it.

Hey guys!

So here is what Valeria told me about the casitas gazebo, so if you are wondering about numbers, looks like only 15 or fewer. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! BUT the other locations look very nice as well, so don't sweat it too much. Hope this helps!

"Dear Holly,

El Dorado Royale was on the Path of Hurricane's Dean trajectory last August, Casitas Gazebo Beach extension was reduced to only hold 15 people, all of your wedding party won't fit anymore there, the only 2 options remaining are White Gazebo and Gazebo 55. Sorry about that sad.gif "

I think you could fit 15 people there but I have to stress that it is VERY public. You would have people walking right by you on the sidewalk the whole time. There is another Gazebo that would fit a smaller group. It is located closest to the presidential suites. It has a lot of greenery around, but does have a rock wall in the back. I thought it was really pretty though. Maybe your WC could send you a picture?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
