Help! I Need a Maid of Honor Gift!

Recommended Posts

I'm out of ideas! I want to give my Maid of Honor, my sister, something very special for being in my wedding. First because she has always been there for me, and secondly because she is my only attendant. I don't want to get a typical bridesmaid gift.... any creative ideas? I'm stumped!

Tammy thats what I was going to do buy the diamond earrings....but instead I bought my bridesmaids their dresses (there not a typical bridesmaid dress so they can wear them again, and it's something that both of them wanted so I was happy to buy them) and i still might throw in something else as well but not 2 sure as to what....

Valerie what is your budget? than maybe I can throw some ideas at you within your budge

I would like to stay under $50.

I already bought her a bracelet, part of her dress, and 2 hair styles (for Mexico and the reception back home) and the necklace/earings to wear at the wedding.

Has anyone seem a really cute jewelry box? I looked on the 'Things Remembered' website and found a couple. They just look so average.

That's a good idea- we do have Bombay (at least here in Michigan) and they do have cool gifts. I forgot about that store:)

A jewelry box would be nice - you could have it engraved - that is something I would like! Also there are some inexpencive bracelets and necklaces from Tiffany's that would be a nice treat. I have a silver bracelet that I got for arround $100 from there and I wear it all the time!

The other idea that I love is the digital picture frame that someone said they got at Fry's Electronics. It would be cute to put together pictures of your sister and you through out the years and give it to her as a gift!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
