Help making a wedding day/night survival kit

Recommended Posts

I'm a MOH in a wedding in january. I want to make a funny/cute gift for the bride. I was thinking a wedding day or night or both survival kit. So far I've come up with a few things. These are all for the wedding night.

1. wine

2. CD of love songs

3. cute outfit

Any more ideas?

Even though I'm the MOH, I won't be around for the showers or bachelorette party so I want to do something really fun for a gift.

There use to be a thread on this, but I couldn't find it. Anyways, here's some ideas for emergency things that may be needed during the day:

  • Hairpins
  • Breath Mints
  • Purse Mirrors
  • Safety Pins
  • Hairspray
  • Clear Nailpolish (if she's wearing pantyhose... in case of a run!)
  • Sewing Kit
  • TISSUES!
  • Wet Wipes
  • Advil
  • Some Bandaids (especially if she's just breaking in those shoes! wink.gif)
  • Tampons
  • Mini Deodorant
  • Double-Sided Tape (for last minute emergencies)
  • Waterproof Mascara
  • Nail File

Ok, those aren't so funny.. but good for the day-of Emergency Kit

Also for the wedding day survival kit:

-White chalk (for spots on dress, do not use any stain remover, they dye some white materials yellow and its permanent)

-Thread in the colour of the brides dress and BM dresses

-Black socks (in case the groom or one of the GM's forgets)

-Hair spray

-blotting powder

-tooth brush/tooth paste

-dental floss

-clear bandaids

-Band Aid Anti Blister stick (to put on before she puts on her shoes to prevent blisters - its awesome stuff I swear by it)

-Crazy glue

-Pepto

-immodium

-benadryl

-earring backs

-lint brush

-mouthwash

-hand lotion

-scissors

That is all I can think of for now. I have made a survival kit 3 times now and the brides always love it.

Jules, I swear by the Band-Aid blister stick too! It's the best!

The Band Aid Blister stick should be in the same section as the insoles and other footcare items. If you can't find it at the drugstore, you can go to a store like REI and get Bodyglide. It's basically the same stuff but the original version used by hikers and marathoners to avoid blisters.

How about adding xanax to the kit? Not so funny but quite helpful!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
