Anyone Used Outside Hair/makeup At Azul Sensatori Resort?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!! I am getting married at Azul Sensatori in Mexico on January 21, 2017 and I'm really struggling with deciding on what to do for hair/make up. I'd really like to hire this Karen Lopez and she says that she can come to our room at the resort and all I'd have to pay extra is a daypass fee for a guest. I'm concerned I guess about this not working and they wind up charging me another whopping 800 dollar outside vendor fee. Too nerve wracking! But the salon prices at the resort are too high so I'd really like to go with another vendor for this. Any thoughts/advice or experience dealing with this kind of issue??

Thank you!!! :)

By the way 2017/2018 brides....there's a great deal for bridesmaid getting ready floral robes on etsy until 9/13!  15 for cotton, and 13 for satin. I just ordered  mine...here's the link: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheBrideSpot?ref=also_bought

The outside vendor fees at resorts are definitely tough to deal with and there is usually no way around it. Have you tried looking at hair/makeup stylist in the area that have a salon you can go to? That might be the best route! I know Styling Trio has a salon in PLaya del Carmen where you can get services done.

Otherwise, I know some brides will actually have a friend/guests do their hair/makeup. For myself, because I have had a tough time finding people who can do my makeup to my liking, so I actually hired a local stylist here in Southern California and flew her down to my destination wedding in Cancun and she provided services for me and my bridesmaids as well as the moms.  ;)

@@MarieSamSanchezPhoto That's what I was trying to find actually was a salon nearby we could take a cab too actually! It seems azul sensatori might be out of the way though, I think the styling trio's salon was an hour drive. I'm hoping I can find another option but it's tricky to find online. Thank you so much for your thoughts! I appreciate it!

Hi and welcome @@sarahjayne07... you've certainly come to the right place to ask questions about your upcoming destination wedding and plans for your hair and makeup here in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. Also thank you @@MarieSamSanchezPhoto for recommending us here at Styling Trio.

@@sarahjayne07 we at Styling Trio are only 40 minutes south of Azul Sensatori and if you were to come to us, it would help you avoid the big outside vendor fee which is generally hard to get around as MarieSamSanchez said. If interested perhaps you can get a shared ride to us if needed, we could help with finding you transport for your group. Just contact us directly at one of the numbers below and maybe we can help. Of course we'd love to give you the look you want on your wedding day!

Also note, we specialize in HD airbrush makeup which is ideal and simply a must for tropical climates like the Riviera Maya. Here is more info on airbrush makeup for you --> http://www.bestdesti...-a-tropic-r2326  as well some photos of our HD airbrushed brides below.

Hope to hear from you and be a part of your big day! Enjoy your wedding planning!

@sarahjayne07  Hi! Congrats on your upcoming wedding and welcome to the site!

I don't know if this is any help or not. My husband and I renewed our vows in Mexico last October at Grand Coral Beach Club. We stayed at Valentin Imperial. I used Styling Trio @StylingTrio  for myself and my friend for hair and makeup. They are absolutely incredible and totally worth every penny! I don't know anything about the person that you mentioned.

I went to Styling Trio's location in Playa del Carmen for a hair and makeup trial but then had them come to the resort the day of our renewal. All I had to pay was a day pass for them, not the outside vendor fee.

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
