Experience With Finding Wedding Venue Abroad?

Recommended Posts

My name is Charlotte and I'm planning to marry abroad in 2017. However, I haven't decided in what country I want to marry in yet, I'm thinking maybe South America or Europe. I'm currently in the process of researching venues but I'm unsure what type of search words I should use when browsing venues. Any suggestions? Can anyone tell me their experience on how they found their venue abroad? :) How much time did you spend looking? I just want to find the perfect venue for my day.

All help much appreciated:)

@@norwaybride,

I would say putting words like weddings abroad guide, pretty much shows a lot of locations in Europe.

Time doesnt matter how long it takes to search. The thing is once you see pictures of something that jamz with your style , you wont hesitate to book it .

Little tip. the best place to start is to decide on your vision and budget , number of guests. and an to choose a  destination that jams with you personality and your fiances. Ask yourself what is important and what isn't. Are you planning on working with a Travel agent?

happy Planning

Thank you Joyce, that was a good idea to start writing down my vision and style for the wedding, probably will make it easier to start the research from that point. I can picture myself marrying in either Italy, Spain or Greece, but I'm feeling a bit lost on where to research. So afraid that I will miss out on potential venues if I do not use the right search words on google. How did you find your wedding venue?

Hi @@norwaybride!

irst of all congratulations for your engagement!!! This is certainly one of the most exciting times on a person's life!

Besides finding the destination, we suggest you to also consider what time of the year you want to celebrate so you have enought time for the planning and also allow your guest time to make their traveling plans. Also about timing w

hen looking for a place make sure to ask when the rainy season is at in that area.

We would like to suggest Puerto Vallarta, Mexico as your wedding destination. Puerto Vallarta is a great place for several reasons: it has many resorts and different areas where you can go to the beach or do water and mountain activities to entertain your guests but it still has a small Mexican town feeling that invites everyone to relax.

At the south part of the bay were Vallarta is located, you can find Las Caletas: An exclusive and private beach cove with beautiful natural landscapes that provide the perfect scenario to share your wedding vows. This place is accessible only by sea which makes it an even more unique and memorable experience for you and your guests. At night all of the area is lit with candle light which creates a romantic atmosphere, perfect for a wedding.

We invite you to look on our site for more information about our available packages

And feel free to look about our coordination reviews in Vendor Rewiews.

Best of luck in your search!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
