@@BritML0121 Hi I just had my wedding there at Secrets Wild Orchid Memorial Weekend and if you have any questions on my experience, I can answere them for you. I have to say you have DEFINITELY chosen the right resort for your wedding. My guests are still complimenting my choice to have it there. They had an absolute blast. And I was absolutely pleased myself. Any questions please feel free to hit me. I know destination weddings and planning something away is tough.

Congratulations!!  I may have a million questions for  you ! LOL How many guests did you have?  We have a very large list which we were going to cut in half and invite those guests to Jamaica and then throw a big party once we got back.  But now we are thinking that may be too costly and are thinking of just inviting everyone to the wedding in Jamaica (about 200 people), as we don't think many of them will be able to come.   

I was wondering how many guests you had, and if you had a reception on the beach?

Hi @@BritML0121,

We had 25 guests that came to Jamaica and they had an AWESOME time!! I had 3 bridal showers where most of my guests who couldn't make the wedding came out to the bridal showers. One bridal shower had a Jamaican theme, so it was a lot of fun.

 

Overall, everyone was pleased and had a GREAT time.

Hi @@BritML0121 ! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I am a recent SWO bride (February of this year) and my advice would be to stay away from the resort videographer. I have just posted a very lengthy 3 part review of my wedding experience at SWO and outside vendors on here. Part 2 specifically covers the resort photographer/videographer (they are the same) so you can read that to see why I don't recommend them.

 

I second @@KG1990 reply - you have definitely chosen the right resort to have your wedding in Jamaica. The wedding coordinators do a wonderful job and you will have a beautiful wedding day.

 

It you have any questions about the resort or working with the wedding coordinators don't hesitate to ask. I'll be glad to answer any questions you have.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
