Not sure if this could be helpful for any of you girls ( I'm a mom but on here because I'm also elopeing) but those of you getting married at the same resort could possibly co-ordinate and share things like the string lights ,it's just a thought I'd put out there seeing your all so sweet and helpful with one another I know if I was having to take things with me I wouldn't mind sharing with other brides !

Hi ladies! I booked my wedding for January 2018 and wanted to know if anyone who has had their wedding here already know anything about the set up fee?? I am most likely bringing my own centerpieces and string lights since they are so pricey on certain things and I definitely do not want to pay $800 for 8 string of lights at the beach bar! haha...my WC told me she cannot give me a price on set up fee only when I get there so I am scared to get there and it be an outrageous price for setting up! Thanks :)

Hi there! I don't know about the setup fee, but My planner recommended pillar candles that were way cheaper than the string lights! The beach bar is pretty lit up on it's own from the picture's I've seen so you may want to look into that option?

@@melanderic2017 thanks! Yeah I noticed that in the pictures but when I asked if a lot of the lighting is included and she said no some is not like the string lights and all...where would the pillar candles go? I am just scared the wind would blow them out because I heard it can get breezy at night!

I think they're much larger pillar candles than normal, and different heights. I would just be putting them around the perimeter for the most part I believe. Plus we get free tiki torches! So the combination will be really pretty :)

Very true! I hope you can post some pictures after your wedding :)...what are you doing for centerpieces? @@melanderic2017

We're doing 3 vases with electronic lights at the bottom, rocks at the bottom, filled with water and some tropical flowers. One of the vases will have starfish accents in each centrepiece.

Sounds beautiful! Will you be doing it through them or bringing it down with you?

We decided to have them make them for us! With 33 people, all-inclusive, including DJ, outside photographer, flowers, and the whole wedding, I'm looking at about $15,000 CAD (So about $11,000USD)

Is travel including in your pricing? Although it's definitely the cheaper route instead of having a wedding here in the States lol! I definitely don't want to spend an insane amount of money on a destination wedding either because we are traveling with our three kids as well! I am having a chapel ceremony with the included cocktail hour package right after, and then a 3 hour reception with open bar and family style dinner, dj.  I wanted to do my centerpieces with them but since now we are looking at more potential guests it just is killing our budget on flowers :/ we are doing their photo package since family will be coming and 2 of them are photographers and will assist in taking pictures.. I am more focused on having a great time with my family and friends than posing for pictures the entire night so it doesn't bother me too much...but all of this is becoming overwhelming as you can imagine! lol @@melanderic2017

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
