So to have a private three course dinner it works out about $30 a head on average which includes the location fee and the set-up and a 3 hour open bar. So I've worked out based on 25 adults and 2 children that the total cost for a private reception (not including the music equipment) is £564 based on an exchange rate of 1.4.

I've got a lot of information from the hotel, they sent me all of their pricelists if you want me to email them over let me know. xx

o really I read on here i think that it was 65 dollors per head. yeah could you please email any info you have? my email is laureenwarren1@yahoo.co.uk. Thanks for your help. Are you planning on bringing any decor with you?

I'm sure what I've worked out is right, I've confirmed it with the hotel as well. You do have to pay an additional $20 for anymore over the 20 people at your wedding. So I've worked out for anyone extra who comes its about $65 dollars a head so about £40. Maybe that's what they meant. I'll email it over to you in a bit. Yeah I think I am going to bring my own centrepieces for the table and maybe a few other bits like coloured napkins etc. I think I've chosen my colour theme now, I need some inspiration. What about you??

I'll send that stuff over when I get a wi-fi connection, as I haven't got much data and the attachments are quite hefty all together. A bouquet is included within the package I have gone for, I thought it was included in the free one as well. I've got one bridesmaid bouquet so I'm going to have to purchase another one to make sure they all match. I was thinking of doing welcome bags too, would be great to know what ideas you have to put in them. Its so hard when you've got to carry it all out, we're thinking of buying our wedding favours out there to make it cheaper and so we haven't got to carry it all. My other half wants a light blue suit, which limited my bridesmaid colours, so I think I'm going for light blue, dusty pink and grey. I am on facebook, I joined one group, which groups are you part of? x

Yeah no problem just whenever suits. Yeah but I wanted to bring my own as it will be something i can keep. I will give mine to a bridesmaid then buy additional 2. I know I am panicking about travelling with everything, I have a couple of ideas like the tumbler plastic cups for drinks, you can get some nice ones. Then just bits and bobs like lip protector, paracetamol, mints, mosquito spray etc I wanted to get kids something nice but unsure what. Those colours will be beautiful together. We have not decided about what the men are wearing yet, we had though sandy coloured shorts and white shirt due to heat but now he is not sure what to wear xx

Totally just a thought for bringing  additional items. I saw a post saying to buy additional suitcases from a thrift store and leave them in Mexico when you leave, since you won't need as many things! Alternatively, put it amongst everyone's suitcases before you leave :)

Hi Girls,

I mistakenly posted on the older thread about my recent trip there for the bridal promotion.

It was a long post

Anyways, I can't believe its taking so long for some of you to get date confirmation. I just switched my date and locations due to the fact that we don't think the chapel is large enough to accommodate our wedding. They say max is 60, with chairs added, but we think it's more like 40 comfortably. Also the cocktail hour area for the chapel, an area that has hammocks, is not shaded at all. It was so hot just going on the tour! Just something to keep in mind. So we decided to switch the ceremony to the sky terrace. It was gorgeous and private. We are willing to pay the 1k fee.

As soon as I got back I emailed my wedding coordinator to switch locations and she emailed me back the same day. I was informed that the sky terrace was already booked that Saturday so she suggested Sunday. I switched it to Sunday. I did this within two days, had to confirm with vendors.

While there I was told they had an average of 4 weddings per day so that may be a reason it's taking a long time to confirm. They're super busy!

Btw, the resort is gorgeous! We are so lucky!

Found a new DelSol Royalton wedding

Also, here is a snap shot of the spa/salon prices. They're expensive! The spa is beautiful though. I was told every massage comes with a free hydrotherapy session. We received a free hydrotherapy session and it was amazing!post-286128-0-92511200-1463840356_thumb.jpg

Have you booked through Thomson/first choice aswell?

I can't believe they have 4 weddings a day, that seems like way too many to ensure there is a personal touch. I'm dreading that I'm not going to get the location I want or the date.

When are you getting married?

No, I booked directly with their wedding department. My wedding is January 15, 2017. The person who gave me the tour said May is always a busy month, so that's why there were so many weddings. I believe her too, I saw at least one bride a day and several ceremonies from a distance.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
