I had my heart set on having my bridesmaids in convertible dresses so that they can tailor the dress to their own personal style and body type. However, I was reading some of the older forums and a couple of the former brides said that convertible dresses are a bad idea for women with a D cup or larger bust. I honestly thought it would be okay but I guess I could be wrong. Out of my 7 bridesmaids, 4 of them have size D or larger cup size, I would hate for them to be uncomfortable. Have any of you come across this as a problem with your bridesmaids? Thanks in advance for your help. This is an example of the type of dress that I am referring to:

For me being a large breasted lady lol I would be ok in this type of dress if I could wear a bra. You wouldn't get me in it otherwise. I buy my swim suits with built in bras too. Is that possible?

I was considering the convertible dress too until my maid of honor, who is a DD, pointed this out to me. She showed me pictures and it looked awful, even on smaller busted women because some women need a bra. I'm one of those women lol.

Instead I'm doing one designer, one fabric (chiffon), one color, same length different styles. My favorites are wtoo and Occasions by Haley Paige (formerly Jim Hjelm). Lots of different colors to choose from. I honestly also was not a fan of the Jersey fabric of the convertible dresses.

This is Wtoo, just to give you an idea. My girls love being able to choose their own dresses.

@@Laur114 Yeah, one of my girls is a DD too and I would hate for her to be uncomfortable and I don't want her or anyone else to look bad. I will definitely check out your recommendations because I want them to choose what they want style wise but with the same fabric. Thank you!

Hi ladies, one of my bridesmaids is a plus side and is a large cup size (she has to go to specific stores for her bras) I don't know how large but definitely way bigger than a DD. We found that the infinity dress was the best fit out of all the dresses they tried on. She did keep on her bra as the ones we looked at came with a matching bandeau to wear underneath so it wouldn't show her bra strap. There are lots of stores on etsy with the top to go underneath. The dress was so flattering on her, she felt the most comfortable in it compared to all the other dresses. I'd say to give it a go as long as you can get a top so she can wear her bra.

HI, I am invited to my friend’s wedding in May and I ordered very very beautiful pitchy-rose color’s convertible dress for this special occasion. I am DD as well. Just so you do understand – the top front of the dress is made of only two individual bra cups and mesh with rhinestones. It really depends on your bust how it will look. Someone prefers more modest style, but I am fine with my figure. One thing – I get my size bigger than I normally wear, just because I remember history when I try my own wedding dress from another online shop sometime ago and it came smaller in size. After a little tailoring those cups supported me great. The dress itself is very well made. I got very nice colorful rhinestones and some seed beads on mesh on the top. The bottom material is lightweight and flowy. In general I am impressed with quality materials that this dress is made off, especially considering that it came from China. I had some bad experience before with ordering from China and this dress came perfect. Ii is not cheaply made as the one I ordered before from similar company. So I am happy and recommend adasbridal site to everyone, but be careful ordering online.

@@tiffanyt You definitely need a bra, or some kind of cup under it - for large OR small girls. We went to a wedding where one girl did not have anything under the material and let's just say everyone noticed that she needed some type of pastey.

Personally, I think they just aren't the most flattering dresses.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
