Grand Palladium Wedding 2016

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

All the posts I see are in the past and I need some NEW and up-to-date info.

Looking to get married at GP in Jamaica during the week of October 24-28 (awaiting wedding coordinator to confirm a date).

We are looking to use the Palladium Sapphire Package. We would be having more than 25 guests..(more like 50) and want to do a private reception at Blue Lagoon. Does any know the additional costs for these and the menus that are served for private events?

Getting excited. We have been through so many ups and downs trying to choose a resort for our wedding but we PRAYING this is "the one"

Hi @@kdepass2 first off we want to say a huge congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding. Jamaica is such a beautiful country and the people are so wonderful. We were just recently in Runaway Bay photographing a wedding and we just know that you and your whole wedding crew are going to have such a great time.

Leaving you with a little wedding inspiration.

I think you'll be excited to know that I've been to this resort twice, and I never travel anywhere twice! It's absolutely wonderful! The food is amazing, the drinks are amazing, the staff is wonderful, the resort is GORGEOUS and the beaches (especially Sunset Cove) are incredible!

One of these times I was there for a wedding, and everything went off without problem. They got married at the gazebo but stuck with the dinner included.

I myself am now getting married there in November of 2018 :) We are opting for the private reception, it's important to us to have privacy as a group and a dance afterwards.

The blue lagoon is our choice as well! It's stunning and the views are gorgeous.

If there's anything you want to know about the resort, I can help! I would recommend booking everyone in the same building areas. Close to the lobby but no rooms facing the lobby, as it's quite loud at night and some guests may not be party people. We stayed in the 20 buildings and the 30 buildings. It's a massive resort so any further back is a lot of walking!

I got too excited and didn't even answer your questions, lol. We are looking at the Sapphire package too! Or the Love Pearl.

It's only covered for 30 people for the ceremony, so each additional person after 30 is $20.

As far as the private dinner, there are options depending on what you want, but it looks like a sit down served meal is $45 a person, none included so that's for each guest. If you have 50 or more guests, there is a buffet option!

If you decide to have a non private dinner, the first 30 guests are free and each additional is $20. (not a good deal at all)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
