Hello! 

 

Newbie here. We'll be getting married at Generations Riviera Maya March 25 2017. I can't wait!

 

Ceremony to take place on the beach and skydeck for cocktails and reception. I am starting to source vendors and it's so overwhelming. 

 

So far I am considering Disco Movil Cancun for DJ, I was going to use the internal vendor but I thought pricing seemed a little high. Any recommendations for photographer/videographer are welcomed. Looking into Bridal Moments, Ocean Photography, Moments that Matter ect.

 

Menus- I think I'm settling on La Roma menu for cocktail reception Mexican Fiesta Family style. Does anyone know if the chef is flexible on swapping and adding things to the menu? I would LOVE to do an ice cream bar for dessert.

 

I read about extra lighting costs for skydeck. Is it really $1500??

 

Also, is it worth looking externally for hair/makeup?!

So excited for you! Lomas isn't the best to deal with but you will be happy in the end!

 

I brought my own photographer to the resort from home. To me it was a way better option than using the resorts vendors. I did love the options.

 

The resort is pretty good about doing anything that you want, just remember there is always a price tag.

 

and yes the lighting for the sky deck really is 1500! It is so crazy. I went back and forth trying to decide if I could spend that much on lighting, but in the end, sadly you need the lighting. They really should charge more to use the sky deck and just include it.

 

My wedding ended up getting rained out so I never was able to use the sky deck, but they did a great job accommodating me on a new location.

 

I thought the casitas spa did a wonderful job on hair and makeup, but I suggest doing a trail run to make sure there isn't anything you would change. After my trail I told her what I want different and on the day of it was perfect.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
