For the Wedding Day Preview, does the visit have to be on a weekday? Since we need to meet with a Wedding Coordinator I'm assuming so? Will be a bit more difficult with our jobs so I'm trying to find this out.

And our wedding is in November 2017.

Thank you so much! Yep I figured without airfare. I know November tends to be a bit cheaper. Our January quote is ~$750 so I was a bit taken aback at the difference. But I know January is a bit more expensive than November.

Hi everyone! I just finished reading through this thread..some great info and beautiful wedding pictures! My fiancee and I visited Hyatt Ziva in April and fell IN LOVE with the resort instantly. They had upgraded us to the Turquoize Adults only tower and we had the most incredible view on our balcony. I haven't seen anyone post about this tower yet so I have included some pictures. We befriended some lovely people from Chicago who also were staying in the Turquoize tower and they had the swim up rooms that were just unbelievable. I strongly suggest Brides to reserve these rooms!

We have our fingers crossed that we will be able to get married here Nov 2017. I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone on the wedding hotline and I am not sure what the flight+hotel price per person will be. If anyone could share what their guests paid total that would be very helpful to us. Here are some of my pics from my April trip! Hope they are helpful  :)

Hello everyone!  I am so glad i found this thread!  My fiancé and I are getting married at hyatt ziva in october and can't wait.  We've stayed at hyatt zilara several times and wanted to have our wedding there, but because it was adults only we couldn't choose that location.  We were literally seconds away from signing a contract at the hard rock, we actually went to cancun and did site visits to a few places including hard rock.  My fiancé checked the mail and in the mail was a brochure for the new hyatt ziva hotel.  It was pretty crazy. So we changed the venue and couldn't be happier so far.  I think the costs are a little more than i expected, because what comes with the package is pretty basic even though it's like 3499 or something like that.  With all the decorations and DJ it's an additional almost 5k.  We're having our ceremony at the cliff gazebo and happy hour/reception on the sky terrace.  I haven't seen a ton of pics but what i have seen have all been on instagram or what you ladies have posted.  I was fortunate to private message with someone on instagram and get some questions answered.  We haven't finalized all of our decorations yet, but |Abimael is great to work with.  The staff from the hotel I'm not sure what they are, they're not actually wedding coordinators but a contact for the weddings(contract etc) are not very good!  they're slow and didn't answer our questions when we emailed them.  They would answer 1 or 2 out of 10 questions.  ha so that was fun.  We finally were able to get her to agree to a phone call and that cleared everything up.   We're expecting around 40-50 guests.  We hired an outside photographer (Del Sol) they're a little pricey but pictures are one of the most important things for us because that's what we'll bring back with us and have forever.  If you want a great photographer and are willing to spend money check them out. http://delsolphotography.com   Sorry for the long post but it's nice to find other people who are going through the same struggles we are.  But i know it's going to be amazing!  I can't wait to see other pictures from your wedding Guz16!

@@MichelleandAdam Congratulations on your gorgeous wedding!! You are such a stunning bride! I actually came across your pictures on pinterest and just fell in love with your pics and all the details/decor you had! Do you mind me asking how much it was to add the drapes and flowers for the gazebo? Did you go through a vendor for all your decorations? I also love your flowers! Was it difficult requesting the flowers you wanted? I just put in my deposit for November 2017 and have been in contact with Ivonne and have the same issue with her only answering a couple of my questions and disregarding the rest. I would love to hear more about your planning process!

Hi! I'm looking at November 2017, and I'm in love with the Hyatt Ziva. I also received info that the private reception is $69. Not sure how it could be *that* outdated when the grand opening was less than 6 mo the ago!!?! So frustrating already, and I can't do much with pricing until the date gets closer.

@@rebeccarpeck I'm also so confused. When I originally called they told me $69 but Ivonne Lara, the person I have been in contact with via email has told me $85 per person. Did you get a definite answer?

Hey ladies! I have officially put down my deposit for November 4, 2017. I am both excited yet nervous since its been difficult getting all my questions answered via email with the wedding coordinator. Does anyone know if the Hyatt Ziva Cancun was able to honor their event bonus when 10-19 rooms are book you can receive a one hour open bar cocktail reception, book 20-29 rooms and receive a hone hour open bar cocktail reception and a two hour lunch or dinner, etc... I have emailed my coordinator asking about this perk but she said she didn't know what I was talking about. Its frustrating because she was the one that had attached this file with this information on it. Was it difficult to have your rooms close by your guest rooms? Thank you everyone for all your information!!! I am so glad to have found this forum!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
