Hey ladies, I've also had trouble getting them to respond and have had 5 wedding coordinators so far! I found that the only way to get any answers is to call them directly. I did not do the big day preview but I did visit the hotel while in Mexico. The resort is beautiful and from what I saw the service while you're there is amazing. I can't figure out how to post pictures on here but if you would like me to share message me and we can use personal email!

  • 2 weeks later...

Big Day Preview was amazing. Christina is so sweet and very helpful. The tasting was amazing!

The office and wedding department have expanded since I went in May. This weekend alone I saw three weddings and all the brides looked happy so I'm not too worried anymore.

@@MichelleandAdam thank you for the info! How did everything go?!

It was absolutely amazing!  It couldn't have been more perfect.  We got there on a tuesday before all of our guests started arriving and met with Angela and went over some details, got a tour of where are ceremony and reception were being held.   It was absolutely beautiful and then on our wedding day with the decorations from love memories it was PERFECT!  Most of the week it was pretty windy, never rained during the day, but on our wedding day the wind died down and it was perfect.  We had our wedding at the gazebo and then reception on the terrace.  We had a total of 50 people there.  The reception was such a blast, everyone was dancing and having a great time that we didn't want the night to end so we extended our reception another hour.  It went by way too fast.  We still can't believe its been three weeks since we got married.  There were a few mistakes but nothing major that ruined anything.  They messed up some details when i was getting my hair and make up done. It's like they were trying to charge us more for whatever they could.  I didn't want my hair washed and they ended up washing it and charging me for it.  But by the end of the trip we complained about it and got the charges removed.  My nails weren't that great by any means.  Paid extra for a a certain polish and they started chipping one day later.  So they reimbursed us for that.

Angela delivered our guests bags for all of our guests and got them mixed up a little bit but that was a minor detail as well.

We had our rehearsal/walk through the day before and then had a rehearsal dinner in tres cervezas which was awesome.  Turned out really well.   We didn't pay extra for it, we just told everyone to be there at 5 and then we had 4 long tables to ourselves.  Everyone who came to our wedding said it was seriously the best vacation and wedding they have ever been to.  So we were extremely happy.  I have a ton of pictures i can post but not sure if you'll be able to see them. I'll try and see what happens.

If i can give you a bit of advice, don't rush even if you are a little behind on time.  Angela was a little flustered the day of the wedding with so many things going on, she was rushing around.  Don't worry about the time and just go at your own speed and enjoy ever single second of it.  The hotel is absolutely amazing.  We used love memories for decorations and Encore for our dj.  We had aldo has the DJ and he played all the music we wanted.  Obviously sent him a list before hand and then asked him to play some specific stuff while we were there and he was awesome.  Even came out and started dancing with some guests.  it was great.

We used Debora for our photographer at Del Sol and she was so freaking awesome.  They're a little bit more on the pricey side but i would say if you can swing it 100% use them.  She was amazing.   We hired them for photography, video and then we did a trash the dress session in the cenotes.  We can't wait to see our pictures.  She showed us a few of the pictures she had and they were STUNNING.  Overall it was better than we could have dreamed of!  I can't figure out the pictures on here but if you add my fiancé he posted all of our pictures on his page on FB Adam Eichorst

@@MichelleandAdam did you hire a wedding planner/coordinator? I was thinking of hiring somebody just for day-of coordination but heard from the management team that it would count as an outdoor vendor. Thanks in advance, your wedding sounded amazing :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
