With doing a lot of searches to try and find out so much about the Hyatt Ziva all in the world wide web. I am so glad to have stumbled across this thread because it has given some insight to some unanswered questions or thoughts. I am too getting married at the Hyatt Ziva on July 7th, 2017.  I am really excited but nervous because I don't know what to expect being so far away and not having things at hands reach. I am also dealing with Magarita and I am waiting to schedule my big preview trip, as she explained to me that they are doing away with after Dec. 15th. So that means I had to attempt to move it up sooner then planned. However, I haven't spoken to her, I called and sent emails and still no response but I will continue to try and reach her.

 

I am too looking into a better photographer deal then the one that the hotel is offering. I really want to travel with my own but it will probably be too expensive for my budget so I might need to look into other options.

I had been having trouble getting in touch with Margarita as well so I called the wedding call center listed on the Hyatt Ziva website directly and was able to book the big day preview for Nov 17-18. Still pretty far away but I will post pictures when I'm back!

 

Have any of you ladies used Vo Evolution for hair and makeup? I can't stomach paying the vendor fee for an outside company so I keep going back and forth with Vo or just using the resort spa. Vo still seems pretty pricey, much higher than the resort spa. Has anyone had any experience with either and recommendations on which to use?? Thank you!

Hi Ziva brides. Question, does the $500 vendor fee apply to each vendor you bring in from outside? For ex: I would most likely bring in my own photographer as well as a DJ. Would that just be a total of $500 or $1,000? Sorry I'm just confused by this whole outside vendor fee.

Hi ladies,

 

I went for my preview in June and it was awesome and I met with my new wedding planner Andrea Garza and she was amazing, much more helpful than Jessica and she gets back to my emails very quickly and I've been feeling much better planning. I had a payment due this week and I sent the email with the information and never heard back from Andrea. Today I sent a follow-up email and I received this:

To me, this sounds like Andrea is no longer working there, but I have no idea! Does anyone have more information? She didn't tell me anything and I'm pretty angry because this could be my 3rd planner so far since booking this wedding and I was really liking Andrea. 

 

I'm feeling like bridezilla right now. Ugh.

 

To answer other questions about vendors, we don't want to pay the $500 vendor fee so we've booked everything through Hyatt so far. I am getting airbrush make-up done by VO evolution, but it's super expensive, so I am getting my hair done at the hotel salon + all the bridesmaids will get their hair and make-up done there too. I got my hair trial at the salon and my VO evolution make-up trial done while I was there visiting in June, both went well.

@@KellyFitzgerald oh man I had a feeling that she was leaving! It makes me so nervous that the wedding managers keep leaving :( I'm glad to hear that your hair trial went well with the salon, I've been debating back and forth what I should do regarding hair & make up too!

 

@@JRodz I'm so sorry that you're feeling frustrated - the lack of communication is definitely the hardest part about doing a DW. I'm sure that everything will go beautifully but it is nerve wracking to not have replies back to questions and emails.
