Hi ladies!

I just got back from doing site visits in Cancun over New Years and my fiance and I fell in LOVE with the Hyatt Ziva Cancun. I'd love to hear more from other ladies who are getting married there so we can share ideas, hear the pros/cons, and all have the best weddings possible!

We'll likely be having around 130-140 guests. We're doing the rehearsal & rehearsal dinner on the beach. The wedding ceremony will be in the sky gazebo, cocktail hour on the Punta Vista Terrace, and reception in the ballroom.

Would love to chat more with others booking their wedding here too!

Best,
Gwen

@GwendolynB  Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Have you tried doing a search up top for the resort name to see what threads you get? The Hyatt Ziva is quite new but I seem to remember having seen a couple of posts in the past regarding this resort.

Good luck.

Yay another Hyatt bride! I'm getting married there in April. Soon much to do. Do you have photos? I won't get to do a site visit. I have a few that an agent posted on FB. I am doing all of my events at the sky gazebo. Did it seem like enough space? I'll have about 50 people. I have kids coming and my WP said that Punta Vista is adults only. Did they tell you that? My WP is Elsa but I want to request a new one. She takes too long to get back with me. Who's yours?

I had started a page of info looking for people a while back. But this a better place for sharing I guess.

OK so I lied. I just looked at my info again and my cocktail and reception are at Punta Vista terrace too. But I think thats the one thats connected to the sky gazebo area. There was another terrace I wanted that she said was in the adults only area.

Hello ladies! I thinking of changing my location to the Hyatt Ziva. Looks beautiful and everything I'd like esepcially the beach! I'm originally booked at Azul Sensatori and NOT happy about the beach and seaweed. I can't seem to over look it! How are their group rates?? How are the wedding packages looking?? I need to move my wedding here for Sept!

Congrats and Thanks so much for the pictures and PDFs. I am in the process of moving my wedding from the Hyatt Zilara to the Ziva! Just waiting back to see if I have to change the date.

I have visited all the sites, but it was 2 years ago when Ziva was the Dreams. Now that Hyatt took over the few items I wasn't fond of should be gone! If you have any other pictures or tips please share. My wedding will be in October of 2016.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
