Hello Everyone! Information Packets And Party Favors

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! I am at the beginning stage of planning and I am already going crazy. lol

I am having a destination wedding at Catalonia, Riviera Maya, Mexico in May 2017. I am preparing an information packet for my guests and I have so far:

Announcement Letter

Travel checklist

U.S. Passport Application to renew and for first time applicants

I will be putting save the dates boarding pass

Do you think I need anything else?

Now as far as party favors, Has anyone shipped directly to the hotel? Or should I bring them with me in a luggage and pray that they don't get lost in transit

Any suggestions/ideas would be great.

Thank you.

Welcome to the boards, MarMig and Congrats on your Catalonia destination wedding!!! You've come to the right place to find lots of resources with answers to your planning questions - well done :)

You've certainly chosen well with the Mayan Riviera location (well, maybe we're a little biased since we're based here - lol)!!! It's a very popular choice with wedding couples, and you can see why in these magical wedding moments that matter we've captured here......taken from our Timeline Photos Album:

@@MarMig wedding planning doesn't have to drive you crazy, with all the support you will receive on here. prep one task at a time :)

now to answer your question, you can also add "things to do in the riviera maya", are you planning on having a wedding website? I have also seen recently other brides they turn to create a facebook group with all information.

about favors. bring them with you , to make sure they arrive at your hotel. Shipping is not the issue, but the issue is customs in mexico.  To avoid surprises, I would ship them to Mexico.

Happy Planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
