@@ayame14r I'm not getting married at Maroma but I am getting married at another Karimsa resort (Azul Fives). I was just there for the BDR in Sept and we did a site visit to Maroma as well. It is a gorgeous property!!! Perfect for smaller weddings. I'll post some pics when I get home (its on my fiance's camera).  :) Happy planning!

@@ayame14r Here are my pictures from our site visit to El Dorado Maroma. We found that there were a lot more options for indoor venues for private events compared to Azul Fives but they can only accommodate a smaller group (usually around 30). We also loved their beach ceremony options. The sky deck is really gorgeous as well and I think a really great size (max 50 people) but the only thing is that there isn't an elevator to the sky deck like at Azul Fives. Anyone with mobility issues would have a problem getting up there.

I hope this helps - let me know if you have any questions about what I took photos of.

I was kinda worried about the beach being as pretty since they had the lagoon style thing going on . I always pictured turquoise water a few waves and some of the pics I've seen had me a little concerned. What are y'all's thoughts on doing the wedding and honeymoon in the same place.? Thanks for sharing your pics ! I think no matter which place I chose I might have some second guessing going on.

Ayame...

I too am planning my wedding at El Dorado maroma but for September next year. I visited it in September for the brial preview and took a ton of pics. It is a beautiful resort and we loved the small, intimate boutique feel. We honestly thought it was the best resort from Karisma with Azul Sensatori being second. The sky deck is breath taking. I too wish there was more advice and info from past brides on here or online because you really have to search. Im in the planning process now. Maybe we can chat and compare? I'll private message you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
