We are getting married at the riu santa fe this coming January and we have selected the caprice package with a semi private dinner and then we are considering have speeches, first dance, and reception in the disco bar. Is this a good idea? Any suggestions? We have been patiently awaiting information from the resort but have received nothing yet. If anyone has any information on weddings at the santa fe could you please send it to lindsey_alexay@hotmail.com.

Congrats! I've seen pics of that property and we almost travelled there a few years ago, and it looks beautiful! Cabo is a great place!

Have you tried calling the resort at all? When you say you're waiting for info - you haven't received anything at all? Not your menus, or location confirmations or anything? Generally the WCs will get in touch a couple of months before your wedding but you definitely should at least have received confirmations of some of your details so that your pricing can be calculated.

Good luck!

Beautiful Resort, my husband and I stayed there in March 2015. I would recommend contacting the wedding department of the resort, as the general email can get lost at times or try calling in directly and ask to speak with a wedding coordinator.

We had witnessed a wedding on the resort when we had our week stay there and it looked like the couple had a beach front ceremony and their reception was located at one of the resort restaurants. Look into options for private reception compared to semi private areas. We noticed some of the guests were not happy about the fact that the entire resort had access to the wedding reception and dance area. Look at your options!

Hope this helps!

Hi, i seen that you got married bacj in January at the Riu Santa Fe.. How did everything go? I am getting married this August at the same resort. I am a bit anxious about it because i don't know what to expect.. So far i have decided to have a semi private dinner at the steakhouse for us and 20 of my guests. I am still debating if i should have a reception or not. I kind of feel that since it isn't too many people having to spend over $600 for the reception is a bit much. What do you think? And do you have any suggestions?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
