Anyone ever do the pool side reception?! I will have over 40 guests so we need to have a private reception.

The reception decor by the pool.. Lights and lanterns... Expensive?

Jan's Flowers seems to have better reviews than Tai Flora. Any experiences? How is Jan's pricing? Bouquets and centerpiece prices would be helpful!

Hair stylist at Renova Spa- any reccomendations for a stylist?

Hello - I'm getting married next week and Jan's is doing our arrangements. I reviewed quotes from Jan's, Tai Flora and Grande and Jan's was 1/4 of the price. Their customer service has been outstanding and I feel confident everything will be great. I do still have their catalog with prices if you want to PM me your email address.

Happy planning!

I'm a Jamaica bride and used Tai Flora. The site here for the resort we were at was about half and half Jan's and Tai and it really just seemed to depend on what you wanted. I've seen some unfavourable comments about Tai lately and it's too bad because I had excellent service from them and don't regret using them at all.

I will say this - people in the wedding business in Jamaica don't seem to stay put very long and that may be the reason Tai is having customer service issues now. From the time I started to plan until just after we got married in 2011, the resort went through 4 planners and they have all gone to other resorts. I think they just go where they're getting a better offer.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
