Azul Fives By Karisma Brides 2016

Q. DJs on Lomas site are now referred to DJ Mix and DJ Max - Are DJ All Music and Mega DJ still available?

A. DJ Mix and DJ Max are the same people - rebranded.

***This scares me - why would they have to change their names?

@@ashhtayy not sure if this would apply to the DJ but our driver from the transfer company told us that the hotels and resorts are always changing their name because of how they file taxes for their company. It seems like their way of getting around it. Again, I don't know if that would be the reason for this company but it was the first thing I thought of when I read your post.

Hi Ladies!!

I'm glad I found this thread! I'm getting married September 4, 2016 and sky deck has already been confirmed for the private reception and beach ceremony.  I am so lost regarding decorations, photographers and make-up/hair artists?

Any recommendations or tips you may have will be extremely helpful.

@@jwences Hi! Congratulations :)! Don't worry! I'm sure we all were! All these emails and papers I know it's a lot! I've finally found someone who is having their reception on the sky deck! I hope I can catch up with you after your wedding to see some pics of your reception if you don't mind :) just take it one day at a time with planning, there is still plenty of time to make sure everything is ready. I decided to make and bring my own decorations as I do not want to pay $250+ for each table (I have 5) and everything else which is crazy money! The only thing we have to pay for is the set up fee. I'm sure your WC (wedding coordinator) will be a lot of help to you though :) in regards to hair and make up, I think I have family doing it although the ladies at the hotel are very good by the looks of their work! I have gone with Shenko photography who's an outside vendor which means we have to pay $800 for them to come into the hotel but their work is also amazing.

I'll try my best to help with anything as these ladies helped me :) xxx

@sassylouxx  @jwences  Hi ladies. Congrats on your upcoming destination wedding! Azul Fives has been a really popular resort lately. There have been several brides that have had their weddings there. I've given you two here that are very recent so I know they'll be helpful for you in terms of costs and sites, etc. Definitely do a search up top under Azul Fives and you'll get several threads that will be helpful to read through. You've picked a very nice resort. The reviews from past brides are great!

Hello everyone! I've booked my wedding at Azul Fives on Oct 29th, 2016. Here's my tentative schedule:

4:30 Ceremony at Beachfront (Premium) [still waiting on confirmation]

Cocktail at Zky Deck?

7:00 Reception at Sky Deck

Have anyone gotten married at the Beachfront with the spider gazebo? My WD told me it's much more private than the Beachfront area and that people chilling at the infinity pool wouldn't be peering into your wedding, haha.

Have anyone been to the Brides Dress Rehearsal offered by Karisma? I'm debating whether I should go or not. Do you think it's necessary to go before getting married at Azul Fives?

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
