Azul Fives By Karisma Brides 2016

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I know there are already quite a few Azul Fives Forums, but none that I have seen for 2016 brides! So I wanted to start one. I am currently waiting to hear from the resort on whether my wedding date is confirmed in November 2016. Anyone else start the process of wedding planning at this resort for 2016? Let's share stories along our planning adventures!!

Congrats everyone, and I look forward to hearing all your plans for your upcoming wedding at this gorgeous property.  :)

@@hirvine83 I'm getting married at Azul Fives in January 2016. Most of my planning is done, just trying to tackle the to do list for the home stretch. I'm going to the BDR this Sunday!! I'm so excited to see the resort in person finally. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I can report back for you.  :)

Happy planning!

That is amazing! I will definitely need to pick your brain about planning, etc!!! Where are you having your ceremony and reception?? I want to have mine on the skydeck, but have seen mixed reviews about wind! Did you pick any of their packages?.....I feel like I have so many questions for you- lol. You are in Ontario as well- so hope some of the same planning tips will apply! :)

@hirvine83

We're having our ceremony on the Sky Terrace (one floor below the Sky Deck) and our reception is in the garden. We decided to just use the basic Always and Forever package and then build a la carte from there. I'm bringing most of my decor with me but keeping it fairly simple.

Where in Ontario are you? Are you close to Toronto? If so, you should join us next week for our GTA brides meet up! There's a separate thread on here for it.

We also went with the always and forever package and then added things a la carte. It was the most cost effective choice in my opinion, unless you have the exact amount of people included in the package. Otherwise it costs an arm and a leg paying for those extra people.

We only chose their vintage elegance theme for the reception tables. They looked gorgeous!

About the wind, I was super worried about this, but I was so thankful for the breeze up in the sky deck during our wedding. It was sooo hot on the day of our wedding that if it hadn't been for the wind we would have died. There was sweat running down my legs during the ceremony bahaha. Thank God no one could see that haha. The wind kept things cool, especially when we danced during our reception. During the videos on ustream, the wind sounds a lot worse than it actually is. Our day wasn't especially windy but it looks and sounds like it was on the video. If you like the sky deck, do it! It has to be a crazy windy day for it to be annoying. In that case however, it might be just as annoying at the sky terrace or on the beach, so you might as well have the view to make up for it ;)

Hi ladies! Congrats to all of you. I'm excited to say that I'm confirmed at Azul Fives in October 2016. I will be exchanging vows with my love on the Sky Deck. Save the dates have been ordered and will be sent out this weekend. I originally booked Pure Glamour's Ultimate Memorable Moments Wedding Experience which covers 24 guests but I may change to the basic Memorable Moments and a la carte the rest if I have more guests than expected. I deal with event planning and didnt want to be bothered with or stressed about it all the way in Mexico. But, if it's more cost effective to do so based on the amount of guests I'm having, then so be it.

I have a conference call with my wedding designer scheduled for this week. I'm looking forward to it because I have a lot of questions to ask. In the mean time, I've been researching welcome bags, dresses and vendors. I have a year to plan but the earlier I complete a task, the better. I'm trying to minimize any possible stress! Besides... a year can fly by in a blink of an eye. This is all too exciting, though! Happy planning ladies! ;)

Hi everyone I'm Sarah! I'm so happy my fiancé found this forum some wives-to-be to chat to! We are travelling from England and our wedding date is 24th October 2016!

I just emailed my wedding planner last night and I think we have actually finished planning (eeeek!)

Sorry if I bore you!

We are having a sky top wedding ceremony at 4.30pm. We were going to choose the vintage elegance wedding theme but it worked out way to expensive so we just chose some ceremony add ons such as the white sheer panels, a bag of rose petals and a coloured chair now for each guest. This will be followed by the white glove cocktail party which lasts 2 hours - we will be getting our pictures taken with the photographer while our guests nibble on some canapés! The cocktail party also comes with 2 hours of international bar. After this we will be holding a private event also on the sky top deck which will include a whole load of food, sides, salads and desserts! This includes another 4 hours international open bar! We also changed our dinner at flavours restaurant (which is included in the always and forever package) to the day before our wedding! I literally have a folder, a note book and a scrap book of wedding stuff so if anyone has a question I can try to answer them and I might have some questions too :-) xxx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
