I love your bridesmaids' dresses and like @, I wish I had seen them and considered full length dresses. Maybe I'll get one for myself to wear around the resort, maybe for our rehearsal dinner if we have one?

And those Michaels finds are great! I love the frames and will check them out too. I need silver frames and those are a great deal. And the roses are a great colour, they do look good all together. Like @, we are using greenery in our bouquets and they're similar to lamb's ear. They're called dustin miller and I chose them to add a touch of "silver/grey" to the bouquet. They're fuzzy and I love how they look.

As for your hairstyle, I was considering that exact one! I saw a bride on Say Yes to the Dress request the same Hillary Duff hairstyle. It looked so pretty on her. It will look great on you with your veil and your dress.

@@Wafflesmom Thanks!  I always pictured long flowy dresses for my bridesmaids!  It would definitely be a great dress to wear in the evening. @@acw271011 bought it in Navy.

Thanks for the greenery idea for my bouquet - I'm going to start looking for some to add in.  And some more small roses :)  I'd love to add a small rose to the lily boutonniere if I can find the right flowers.

I love the hairstyle too!!!  It puts my mind at ease and I bought one of those Hot Buns for it, not the donut shaped one, but the long one that snaps once all your hair is rolled in it.

@ I just purchased a $5 Groupon Floral Arrangement Course - so hopefully will get some good insight - one of the categories is specifically for weddings!

@ we have a neighbour with a garden full of dusty miller. They're quite gorgeous! I didn't even know about them until Claudia from LatinAsia suggested them. And now I see them on so many bridal bouquets!

P.S. 4 months from today!!!

@@calgarybride2015 I heard back from the Wedding Planner at GBP and she confirmed that the Tulum beach location hasn't been painted, it's the same dark brown as in the picture.  It was the Akumal beach location that has been painted.

@@vancouverpetunia Thanks!!! I'm wondering if I'm at a decent pace with everything so you made me feel better  :)

My best friend is getting married the same month as me so I'm in the mentality where I want to get as much out of the way as possible before the extreme chaos begins in Jan/Feb.  Still soooo much to do but if I can tick anything off my list I'm happy.

We downloaded the Wedding DJ App this weekend.  I'm so glad we did because it took me a couple hours of playing around with it to understand how it works, and I'm still not 100% clear... maybe it's just me.  Either way, I'm glad I started early!

I need opinions:

KC & Jojo - All My Life

I absolutely love this song, and need to find somewhere for it, which category do you suggest we put it in?

a) Pre-Ceremony - right now this list includes songs like "Red Red Wine" and "One Love" for a chilled out vibe while the guests are being seated

B) Dinner

c) Reception/Party - Use as one of the slow songs to break up the dance music

I would personally add to each category because I love this song so much but that can't happen... would love to hear your thoughts!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
