Deecol's Planning Thread - Gbp - April 30Th, 2016

Oh Vegas dice! That's cool! I also saw the passport. That would be neat to add. Yeah - I love Pandora too. I'll take a pic of mine tomorrow and add it on your own thread since we've effectively hijacked Dee's lol I can't wear the bangle style. It's just too uncomfortable on my wrist. It's what my sister originally got me but I swapped it out for the serpentine instead and the next one I want the lobster claw clasp. I find the one I have is so hard to open and close. I got the little chain and added it because every time I opened it everything would go flying off. I tried stoppers right at the clasp and they were uncomfortable. The chain isn't much better but at least when I take it off everything doesn't go flying all over the floor!!

@@deecol Sorry Dee - hijacking again lol

@calgarybride2015  Finally got a few pics of my bracelet and I added the palm tree. I tried to get it so that it shows the safety chain I got too. But now you can see why I need a second bracelet!!

@deecol  LOVE the bouquet! You totally rocked it with those little flowers, and the bout too!! They'll be gorgeous in your photos!!  (hope the tea was tetley, or something else as good! not the horrible stuff you buy here!)

Yay to double digits!!

@calgarybride2015  I agree!! @ needs to keep her Pandora obsession!!  There are just oo many cute beads and charms to put on the bracelets! Plus now I think I need to investigate rose gold....

@@acw271011 Thanks Ann!  I love the way they turned out, those little flowers really finished them off.  haha I was drinking a tea from David's tea, I'm slightly addicted to that place.

Update:  Centrepieces and Beach Bags!

I only have a couple of updates, I've been really busy planning my shower which is next weekend!  Time is flying!

I scored some silver mercury glass candle holders with LED lights for the guest tables:

I am working with the resort to hopefully split up my brides bouquet that is included in my package and put in vases in the centre of the tables along with my sparkly table numbers that I still need to paint and the candles.  Right now they want to charge me $10USD each to rent the vases... based on the weight and price I may just bring my own.  So my image is silver candle holders, sparkly metallic silver table numbers and a vase with white and pink flowers for each table.

The travel agency we booked with (Total Advantage Travel) supplies custom bags and will provide one free bag for each booking.  I made a simple logo before Christmas and sent to them, today they sent a mock-up for approval:

We will have 19 bags like this that we will give to most of the guys as it's more of a masculine bag, and my girlfriend who works in textiles is confirming with me this weekend if she can have about 40 tote bags with our logo printed to supply the rest of the guests.  We've asked for these to be in white/cream with text in black.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
