Thank you @calgarybride2015 @ashhtayy @@krystalball @@Wafflesmom!!!  I love them!

@@krystalball omg don't worry!  I feel far behind too!  I feel like even if we are on top of things we will feel like there is always something left to do!  We were planning to look at bands over the Christmas break but I saw this on an extended cyber Monday sale and grabbed it while I could.

@@Wafflesmom haha I definitely didn't want to take it off!  I wore it for bit, took a couple pictures, then took it off before Colin got home... then put it back on when he came home because he wanted to see it... lol eventually I put it away, but now I feel like my finger is missing something lol

I woke up so excited this morning!  I'm going to start working on my centrepieces, I have this vision in my head... hopefully it works out, I will of course post pics!  I'm going to work on a logo for our beach bags, my girlfriend works in textiles and might be able to sort something out for us :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas!!!

While waiting for my friends to arrive I wanted to take a minute to update my thread - we have been so productive this Christmas break!!!

We took advantage of the Boxing Day sales and purchased our groomsmen gifts:

We ordered Colin's wedding band, should arrive any day now:

We ordered table numbers, will be painting these a sparkly metallic silver and working on pairing with a vase of flowers. They are 5 1/2 inches tall:

And after visiting about 6 stores in 3 days, we found our suits!

So handsome :)

We will pick up the groomsmen's suits before Col's mom heads home back to London after my shower in February so she can bring them to the guys and they can have them tailored there. Col will be going in March to have his tailored before the wedding as he hopes to drop a size or two. We've both been in the gym every day since the 23rd of December so if we keep this up we should be good :)

That's all for now!

I hope you all have a wonderful New Years and 2016 is even better than this last amazing year has been! Xoxo

Happy New Year, @@deecol!

Looks like you had a very successful Christmas break. I imagine the guys will love those watches. Such a generous gift. Col's band is perfect and so is that suit. Love it!

Your wedding is only about a month before ours. Time for us to kick it up a notch and cross some of these big items off our list.

Hope you had a great night!

Happy New Year Dee!! It's gonna be such am exciting year for all of us :)

I see you've been busy and productive during the holiday break. Great finds, the watches are really sharp. Your groomsmen will really like them.

Col's ring looks great and his suit looks great on him. He's looking quite debonair in that outfit

And your table numbers are a great find. Are they pretty lightweight?

Can't wait to see what else you're planning

Thanks @@Wafflesmom! Happy new year to you too! 2016 is going to be the best year yet!!!

Col won't let me show anyone what he looks like in the suit, I told him I was going to share with the bdw ladies and he was okay with that lol I can't wait for his ring to arrive. He wants to get it engraved with our wedding date. I really think the guys will love the watches too! And we got such a great deal - yay for Boxing Day sales!

The table numbers are super light weight! I got them from stockade.com and they ship within Canada. They come separately as numbers and bases and they advise painting them once they are all assembled but I don't want to risk them breaking in our suitcases so we're going to paint separately and assemble in Mexico. I think they're going to look so pretty, I can't wait to get them painted and get the rest of the centrepieces.

You are soooo close! You must be getting so excited!!! I'm so excited for you :)

I'm glad Col allowed his pic to be posted. He looks really good in that suit.

I agree with you about assembling and painting in Mexico. I wouldn't risk it either.

And yup, getting excited and nervous. So close

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
