@@Wafflesmom Fabulous idea! The resort requires us to have two songs ready for this - so far we had "Marry You - Bruno Mars" and need one more.

2 songs to sign? Wow. It's so fast :)

Is it?  In that case, I'll probably throw a couple extra songs on the playlist to be safe.

@ I know!  Elementary school dances :)

We're having a legal ceremony, so 2 songs may be perfect?  I'll have to find out more detail about how long it takes.

I think for the cake cutting we are just going to turn the music down a bit? I'm not sure, but that would be a great song to play during cake cutting!  That's where my problem is - this song fits in so many places, but I can't load them to every playlist lol

Even for the legal ceremony, one song I think will be plenty, even when you take into account the witnesses signing :)

with that said, I think I had backups for pretty much anything in case something didn't go as planned haha. I had way more music than what I needed :P

@@TinkerSofi I think it's a good idea to have back-ups, I'll definitely be doing the same.

Did you have trouble using the app when you first downloaded it?  Any tricks I should know?  It took me a couple hours of playing around with it last night even to get it going.

no, surprisingly I got it pretty easily. Then it was just a matter of tweaking things to make sure that there was music for pretty much every event haha. Also making sure that the app would wait when I wanted it to, etc.

I posted some screenshots on my planning thread about how I organized it.

Even for symbolics they get you to sign a symbolic certificate :) that said, they revamped mine so my witnesses could sign (ie not look symbolic) and it was super quick. But my ceremony wasn't legal so more may be entailed ie - the finger printing on the document. I think 1 is probably safe but pick 2 to cover your bases. I'm sure the WC could tell you as well!!!

@@deecol I did buy the dress in navy just to wear. I fell in love with the style and I love how it fits. I just got it back yesterday from being hemmed and I'm taking it to Mexico to wear for dinner. We have a dress code for dinner and I love to dress up so the dress works perfectly. It's definitely one that can be worn again for the ladies that want their bridesmaids to wear it! @@deecol I love that colour you picked! I actually just bought it for my son's gf to wear for our renewal in the pale pink. She loved the picture of it so hopefully she likes it when it arrives.

Love your flowers! They're really coming together beautifully! I agree with @ about adding some greenery. I think it would round it all out nicely and it will be gorgeous!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
