@ That's a great price for all your flowers! I agree, the flowers in Mexico can be really pricey, and sometimes what you have envisioned isn't available because of the season. I went to a wedding 5 years ago in Cuba and I remember hearing that the pink bouquets she chose weren't the same pink she ordered. It wasn't a big deal in the larger scheme of things because it was the only pink in her whole wedding decor so it was fine, but what if it did need to be a specific shade? That's what made me want to opt for the fake flowers.

For my bouquet, because Colin wants a light pink tie and the idea is to have the groomsmen in coral pink ties to match the bridesmaids dresses - I still need to post these! - I would like to find roses (both tight and full opening) in both light and coral. I've pinned some examples from pinterest and I think because we are using different shades of pink instead of one, I can get away with everything not all matching the one colour. And the same with the aisle flowers - small bouquets of roses. Do you think that sounds good?

We had a bride from Cuba back last August 2014. I don't know if the problem is so much if they have your shade or color but more if they even have flowers. I think she was basically told you get whatever flowers they have. She brought a lot of her own ribbons and stuff to help and she also picked some from the garden to add to it. For basics I think Mexico is far more advanced and will paint flowers too. The issue in Mexico is more what's in season. That was what I understood anyways but def safer to just ensure you get your vision by doing real touch :)

Check out afloral.com  They had a moving sale on. Not sure if it still is but it was 20% off. I got another email from them this morning. I can look if you want. If you sign up I think you get a discount on first order or something. They have some pretty flowers. I'm useless with stuff like that so for me not even worth looking. I wanted to see for bouts what they charged for ready made. Not worth it because I need 2 and the minimum order is 4 I think.

@@calgarybride2015 Exactly - I rather be sure and do my own flowers.

@@acw271011 That's for the info!  I'm going to see if I can find the flowers since I'm just adding to my bouquet and doing several small aisle flowers, but if I can't find anything I'll def check out that site!

Went a little crazy in Michael's last night - I probably spent a solid hour in there.  They have amazing sales going on at the moment.

Got tons of stuff and will post pics once I organize  :)

@ Anytime you want to go to Michael's let me know :)

The Dixie Outlet Mall location is moving to North Queen St (near Sherway) so they have in-store deals.  Perfect time to go!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
