Hi Everyone!

We are looking at getting married in the Mayans and have looked a few resorts that fit our taste. So far the following resorts have rates that are reasonable for our guests: Moon Palace, New Sapphire and Royalton Riviera.  Moon Palace is bit pricer but we've included on the list based on past experience with Palace Resorts. We would like to hear to your experiences of any these place.

So far we we are leaning towards Royalton, but Moon Palace offers extra benefits that we can't leave off the list.

Please share details, photos and fees that are usually not mentioned.

You can post on here on email me at: canadorecc@gmail.com

Thanks!

@@Canadorecc Congrats and welcome! That's a lot of information you're asking for! My first question would be do you have a travel agent yet? That I think would be your best first step. Your TA will become you new best friend as you go through your planning journey and will help you and your guests with questions, bookings etc while you concentrate on your planning. There are several agents in Canada that the ladies have worked with and willing to recommend. Secondly, there may be group perks you're could be entitled to and a travel agent will assist you with that.

You're considering 3 very nice resorts and they have all been covered here in threads. I would highly recommend that you go to the top of the page to the search bar and just type in which resort you want and I know several threads will come up. Too many to list here. Take some time to read through them. The ladies here are very ready to share tips and ideas and I can guarantee that questions you have, have likely already been asked and answered in some way, shape or form on the various threads.

Good luck and happy planning!!

Hi @@Canadorecc I'm also planning a destination wedding for 2017.

I found a local wedding planner that specializes in destination weddings and she's pulled some rates for me already and our top picks were Now Sapphire and Azul Beach Hotel.

Let me know how things work out for you!

Welcome to the amazing BDW community!!

All three of those resorts are amazing but we have to say that our favorite, hands down is Now Sapphire. Juan Carlos the wedding planner there is an absolute star and he will ensure you have the best possible wedding experience.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
