@Wafflesmom Sounds like you are doing so well! Keep it up. It's so tough at this time of year, I know. The program is called Healthy Role Models. It is run by a couple from Nanaimo (trainer types), so a lot of participants are from Vancouver Island, but since it's online, there are participants from all over the world. PM me if you want more info.

@vancouverpetunia thanks, means a lot coming from you :)

So I spoke to my bootcamp instructor this week and we spoke about my goals in the lead up to the wedding. I told her that I didn't really have a weight loss goal in mind since body weight can fluctuate so much. Rather, I to,d her I wanted to tone my body, especially my stomach area. She said that I was doing well with my training and we'd focus more on food. Since we're being realistic, we'll focus on a diet of lean meats and cutting out sugars and bad carbs starting January. With the holidays, she knows it's tough. It doesn't mean I can eat everything in sight but I will start getting stricter starting Jan 1. After all, after that date, I'll only have 3 weeks left...woohoo

And I've lost 1.5 lbs already! It's crazy how cutting out snacking can do a body good!

Today was weigh in for me! I was excited and nervous. I know when you start a new workout program your muscles get sore and your body retains more water to speed recovery. And I've been really sore with my new program so I was hesitant yet I knew I'd been pretty good with my nutrition. I'm happy to report I lost 1.7lbs!!! Super happy! That puts my total at 7.3 since August. I'm starting to feel like I'm in the groove again, although that means my wedding planning has gone out the window. I will post an update to my thread this weekend though! I need to get back on track! 2 months to go!

@vancouverpetunia and @calgarybride2015 snacking is my kryptonite, why must chips and cookies be so bad for you but taste so good!?!?

And I hope our eye twitches go away soon! Hopefully my week off from work during the holidays will cure what ails me.

Hi ladies! Hope you enjoyed the holidays (but not too much haha). I was pretty good for working out. Skipped a few days here and there for sure, but less than I normally would. In the past I would pretty much write off December! I also was pretty good on the food front until Xmas eve, which again I usually give up in early December. Somehow I've even managed to lose 1.5 lbs in the last 3 weeks?!? I stepped on the scale twice to make sure lol.

But time to get back at it for real next week. Will do some food prepping and planning tomorrow. Hit the gym hard Monday morning. I have 8 lbs to get to my goal weight! More than half way there

What is your plan for 2016?

You ladies are so amazing for keeping this going!!!

Well done on the weight loss @vancouverpetunia!

I've gained about 4 lbs the month of December with all the chocolates, dinners out & drinks. I worked out at least 3 times a week during but you can't out train a bad diet. Col and I are cracking down with less than 4 months to go and we were in the gym almost everyday on our Christmas break, including Christmas Day! We've thrown out all the bad food in the house and are meal prepping today. I'm bringing my dress into the shop on Saturday to have the corset added in and I really wish I didn't gain those pounds back...but we are now super determined and focused! Cols even talking about hitting the gym while we're in Mexico!

@vancouverpetunia and @deecol you guys are awesome for continuing your workouts in December!

@vancouverpetunia congrats on the weight-loss, you'll lose your 8lbs goal in no time

@deecol Don't worry about the weight gain, with yours and Col's determination, I'm sure you'll lose it in no time!

My diet went out the window this last week, starting with Christmas eve. With all the family dinners, treats and drinking, we'll I think I ate away my self discipline. I did continue my workouts but like @deecol said, you can't out train a bad diet. So unfortunately I've gained the 2 lbs I previously lost. Well now I'm back at it and have started meal prepping. My bootcamp instructor is kicking my workouts into high gear, especially since we only have 2 weeks until we leave. Wish me luck ladies!!!

I have no idea how I managed to lose any weight. A few months ago, I was travelling for work and was sure I would have gained, but actually lost that week. However the following week I had gained! I feel like it catches up with me. I'm not going to weigh myself for a couple of weeks and just hope to maintain at this point!  :P

@deecol, I agree with wafflesmom - you will be back on track in no time!

@Wafflesmom, at least you continued your workouts. It likely would have been worse if you didn't. Good luck in the next 2 weeks!
