@jacquewedding  I'm sure you've realized now what a great group of ladies are here! They've all given you excellent advice and suggestions! I would add that a travel agent is definitely your first step, especially with still so much time. You don't mention what country you're in but travel is put together a bit differently in the US compared to Canada so that's something to consider. If you're in the US, the administrators of this site are destination wedding specialist and I'm sure they would be able to at least help you determine you wants and don't wants and the budget you want to work with for your guests. You can contact Wright Travel at http://wrighttravelagency.com/inquiry/

Good luck!

I said "yes" again to the love of my life at Grand Coral Beach Club, Playa del Carmen, Mexico on our 4th anniversary - October 20, 2015

Thank you ladies. You are all amazing and your input are very helpful. This planning thing is exciting and nerve racking at the same time. So much things to do and you can only start and everything is inprogress simultaneously. Ticking the box of your checklist will be at the very end :)

@jacquewedding you have plenty of time. I know it feels overwhelming right now, but as long as you do little things along the way you'll be ok and you'll get to your wedding day with very little stress ;). Once you choose and book your resort things start falling into place and that's were the fun part begins :)

100% agree - I'm just under 9 months out and still lots more to plan but so far choosing and booking a resort were the most stressful.  Once that was out of the way I was able to sit back for about a month and am slowly getting the planning going again - which is so much fun!

Good luck with your planning!!!
