Hi I need help with a destination!! Looking for the best resort for my kids (14,12,11,9&8). Looking at Beaches Negril, Moon palace cancun or Hard Rock resort. Has anyone been to any of these resorts with their kids? I want to have our wedding someplace the kids will enjoy too.

Of the top of my head, and this is without any experience with any of those resorts, but I've heard for kids that hard rock can get pretty fun just because of the noise and party atmosphere. Moon Palace is huge and definitely family oriented from what the ladies here have posted. I know nothing about Beaches resorts.

I would definitely advise getting a travel agent and consulting them for input. They're the experts as far as what would work for you and work with your budget too. That can also be a big factor.

Good luck!

Hi Chris, I have been to all of these resorts and also worked with wedding groups at each one.

In general, for big variety of things to do, and activities for every age group I would recommend as top choices either Moon Palace, (great teen club, and also has the Flo Rider surf machine that kids love), or Hard Rock which has such a fun and upbeat atmosphere that there is always lots going on.. the kids can even have Studio time and make their own recording!

Both of these are great choices, and for you as the wedding couple they both offer great benefits in terms of complimentary events, and comp nights for you.

Let us at Wright Travel know if we can answer questions, or check pricing for you!

Happy planning!

We're a family of 7 (kids 20, 20, 16, 14, 12) also and after much researching we reserved the Moon Palace.

I liked that the resort was a little higher quality than other all-inclusives and that they had private ceremony locations.

I also looked at the Hard-Rock but it was too much like a spring break resort. I'm sure it's fun but i ddnt want to equate my wedding with spring break! Maybe 15 years ago, yes but now not so much!

Good luck in your search!

I had a travel agent try to get us to book Beaches. It is certainly family friendly, but for us it would have catered TOO much to the kids. We only had a handful of kids coming so we wanted entertainment for them, but we didn't want dancing Sesame Street characters running around either ;)

We settled on a family friendly resort that had a kids club and kids water park and it was perfect.

Hi girls!

At Puerto Vallarta, we have an option for small wedding groups to go to a private and secluded beach; that is not only beautiful and rated as a top venue but also fun and that has lots of activities during the morning, this way as you are getting ready kids can enjoy the beach activities like snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc.

After that you have your ceremony on an amazing setting overlooking the sea; which is specially thought for couples enjoying this moment with just their close family.

You can check out more of the barefoot package on our website at:  https://www.adventureweddingsvallarta.com/or call our toll free number.

Our wedding was at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay. We loved it and it was perfect for our group! We wanted to balance what we wanted for our wedding with our guests needs and budgets and it hit the sweet spot!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
