@Wafflesmom  I just finished reading all the pages I missed!! I can't believe how far behind I am!!! Your wedding is getting so close too!!

First off, your dress is absolutely stunning with the veil. I love it and I think the one you chose is beautiful! The earrings and bracelet are so pretty and just match so nicely. The whole look is gorgeous! And Derrick is very handsome in the suit. You will make a striking couple in your photos and I know Sam will do a wonderful job!!! I so hope we get ours soon! lol

I do want to say (since the discussion took place on the day of our anniversary and I was otherwise occupied in Mexico lol) to both you and @deecol  that I think asking family to sign your marriage certificate is a wonderful idea. I know they say bridal party, but when you require 4 witnesses it does make it a bit more awkward, more so when you either don't have a large enough bridal party or when you have one larger that leaves certain people left out. I think in that case asking parents is so sweet and I think they would be totally honoured!! In your case, i agree - go with your gut as to who to ask but if your uncle has been the father figure, my first instinct would be him.

I'm sorry about the TA trouble but happy it got sorted and now seems to be working out. Getting final payments done is always a relief. We only had a couple of people but getting our stuff paid up made it more real. Doing an off site meant it all went separate places so being in a resort and having it one-stop shop style would be so much easier.

Your gifts are gorgeous. I'm just learning about Kate Spade and while I do find the prices a bit over the top the things I've seen are beautiful! Your bridesmaids will love all their gifts and you will LOVE Styling Trio. They are so awesome and so fantastic to work with!!

I think extending your stay in Mexico is a super idea and having some time to yourselves as "newlyweds" will be wonderful. You can have private dinners without worrying about keeping up with family and after the stress of a wedding, that's always a good thing.

You're getting so close now!! Everything is going to be beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing it all come together, and to see what Sam does with your photos! Wow! I can't believe there are so many so close together!  And April will be even busier!! lol

I said "yes" again to the love of my life at Grand Coral Beach Club, Playa del Carmen, Mexico on our 4th anniversary - October 20, 2015

@Wafflesmom Looks like you are on track with your list. I am further out than you, so can't speak from experience, but I think Kim is right. It looks manageable. :)

Thank you @acw271011 and @vancouverpetunia

I'm sorry my promise of updates hasn't been kept. I officially start in my new position on December 23 so I've been busy with the handover leading up to it. It has been stressful so far and I've now developed an eye twitch. Apparently it could be due to stress so I'm hoping it goes away before the wedding. Can you imagine how awful that would look in photos? Lol I do have a week off for the holidays so I'm hoping to get back on track and have more updates for you guys.

@calgarybride2015 it's the bottom part of my eye that's twitching, and yes it's very annoying. I've been getting sleep but maybe not good restful sleep?

I was wondering if sleep played a role in mine. I'm also stressed and staring at books/screens more. I hope yours subsides. Maybe you could see an eye doc if your gp doesn't know.

@Wafflesmom you're so funny - your eye twitch will go away before I'm sure! I get it when I'm stressed or tired too but it always goes away :)

What a day to start in your new position! I'm sure you'll do amazing!

Your BM gifts are beautiful :) and thanks for letting me know about the free apple trial! I'm def going to play around with it on the Christmas break!

OMG I had an eye twitch off and on for a year or two. It disappeared less than a week after my boss (who I hated) was fired! Think it was stress related?!? It comes back once in a while, and now I know it's a sign of stress for me. I'm sure it will be fine once you've settled into your new role. Good luck!  ;) (eye twitch LOL)

@vancouverpetunia you're hilarious, that emoticon has now taken on a who,e new meeting for me lol Thank you for the vote of confidence, I'm hoping you're right in that it goes away once I settle into my new role. I'm having a meeting with my boss to determine how long they anticipate I'd be in the interim role. It was mentioned that they may not post the vacancy until after a review is completed of our program. I was in a meeting yesterday and they briefly mentioned that it may take at least 6 months for the review to be done....yikes (Eye twitch) lol

Update:

I've started going through some of the things I've bought for our wedding and I can't believe I forgot to post about our cake topper

Attached File  image.jpeg   25.98KB   7 downloads

As soon as I saw this cake topper, I knew we had to have it on our wedding cake! Derrick is an avid fisherman and has been fishing since he was 2 years old. He has the cute pic when he was young where he's carrying a fish that's bigger than him lol. We actually have an annual fishing trip and it was during our fishing trip in 2013 when he proposed to me. And on top if that, we met on Plenty of Fish! So you can tell why I had to have this cake topper
