@@Wafflesmom Soooo pretty! I really love it. Glad you had such a great experience in saying yes to the dress. What store did you go to in Abbotsford? Maybe they will have a sample sale this fall... I might be interested in checking it out.

Thank you so much @@maybeoneday

@@vancouverpetunia thank you so much! I went to Champagne and Lace. They're actually having a sale right now to make room for their new Fall merchandise. They recently posted that they marked down 81 wedding dresses and have a number of short dresses marked down too. The staff there is really helpful and friendly. We love the store so much that since buying my wedding dress, we've bought all our dresses for my brother's wedding this year. I think between my mom, sister and I, we've bought 8 dresses from them in 8 months ???? It was definitely worth the drive to Abbotsford

I love your dress! You look so happy in it. It's very beautiful. Sometimes it just happens that you fall in love with a dress and that's it haha, nothing else compares. I found mine fairly quickly too and I was so sad to take it off after the wedding :(

@@TinkerSofi thank you so much for the wonderful compliment. You're absolutely right in that nothing else compared to it. The bridal consultant said she was reluctant to put it on me first because she knew my mind would be made up already lol. I'm gonna do exactly what you did and try to wear my dress as long as I can that day!

Wedding Shoes

I love shoes, I am addicted to shoes! My lovely FI even made me a shoe wall when we renovated one of our bedrooms into a walk-in closet. So when it came time to finding my wedding shoes, well this took longer than finding my wedding dress LOL Right away I was torn on what to wear since our ceremony is on the beach and our reception is on a terrace. I initially wanted to wear those beautiful barefoot sandals on the beach but I wanted to wear heels for the reception. This posed a problem when it came to alterations; my dress could be too long for the ceremony (horrific images of me stepping on my gown and falling on my face comes to mind) or too short for the reception. Plus, I really didn’t want to have to bring a change of shoes on our wedding day. Having worn wedges as a bridesmaid at my friend’s destination wedding, I thought wedges would be the perfect solution. I initially looked for blue shoes so I can use them as my something blue but I couldn’t find any blue wedges. I looked through so many places and it’s really hard to find ones in my size. One day I was looking through the Badgley Mischka website and I found these beautiful pink wedges and knew I had to have them (pink was afterall my favourite colour). I searched online and found them at 6pm.com for $65 off SOLD! So these are my shoes. They’re so light and easy to walk in. I’m excited to take my getting ready photos while slipping on these beauties!

Thanks @ they're super comfy! I love the floral ruffle, it matches my dress.

And I'll mention your jealousy to Derrick lol. He's the one who custom built it, down to the height of my boots. That man sure knows how to make me happy

@@Wafflesmom Ahh a woman after my own heart! Another shoe slut!! (sorry - I mean that in good fun!) But I'm a slave to shoes too. I love them. I now have 2 pairs of blue shoes for Mexico!

I LOVE yours!! They are truly gorgeous as only shoes can be! And they'll be perfect for your dress and for being on the beach. I love the beach but not for our ceremony. I absolutely don't want sand anywhere near my shoes or my dress! lol But to be truthful I never even though about wedges. I immediately thought about flat sandals as the only option. Wedges will do just nicely!

@@acw271011 thank you so much! I actually prefer shoe whore but shoe south works fine too I saw your two pairs of blue wedding shoes and am so jealous! The options would have been more if our ceremony was on a terrace but we really wanted a beach ceremony.

@@vancouverpetunia thank you so much!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
