  • 2 weeks later...

Ok so it's exactly 3 weeks until I become a Mrs. I'm beginning to get excited and nervous at the same time. I've woken up at random times in the night thinking of what needs to be done for the wedding. Clearly my procrastinating has caught up with me.

So now that I'm 21 days out, I kicked up my wedding planning game. Since I've been feeling a little feverish, I stayed home and packaged up my OOT bag paper items like our Welcome Letter, week and wedding day itinerary, a resort map and a postcard with our hashtag. The design and template for our welcome letter and itineraries were all designed by the very talented @ (thank you so much). Here's what they look like bundled

I also attached our tags for our fans. They say "I'm a fan of yours" and our names and wedding date. They're totally cheesy and I love them lol. I got them made from a lovely store called paperconfetti. Her designs are awesome and she's really easy to talk to. She made the text in silver foil so it will really pop in the sunshine. These fans will be on the seats for guests during the ceremony. We'll also have the bubble wands I bought from Weddingstar. They say "Our Wedding Day" in silver so it matches our tags. They'll be used for the professional

Last but not least, I folded a few of our napkins, placed the napkin rings and attached the tag to be used as placecards. They'll be ribbons with tags. The napkins will be placed on top of Silver charger plates so they'll really pop on the table. One of my bridesmaids will be writing the names on the tags since she knows calligraphy. Please excuse my pathetic attempt at it lol

Tomorrow I'll work on some more things and be sure to keep you all posted.

P.S. I'm sorry the photos are sideways, my phone is acting up

@@Wafflesmom. Eeek!! 3 weeks..... OMG Where does the time go????

I LOVE all your decor items!! They're beautiful and the red will totally pop!! The bubbles are adorable! Doug and I had them for our reception 4 years ago and a few people were giggling while they were blowing the bubbles so it was a cute fun thing to have. I think they're a great idea!!

Totally can't wait to see photos of it all when it comes together!! It's going to be GORGEOUS!!!!!

@@acw271011 I know, it's so true that time flies when your wedding planning. I swear the last year just flew by

Thank you so much :) The colour is actually coral but they do kinda look red in the photos. I'm glad the bubbles were a hit at your wedding, I'm hoping they'll be fabulous at ours as well.

And I can't wait for our photos. I hope they look as good as yours. How many photos did you end up getting?

We had Sam for 5 hours and ended up with just over 500 but don't forget - we were only 4. You will have a wedding party and family and friends.... so I know you'll have a whole lot more than that!! We are so completely happy with ours. I've already started on photobooks for my dad in BC and Doug's mom and dad but it's so hard to pick out the ones I want!! You'll love Sam!! He's super sweet and so wonderful to work with!!

@@Wafflesmom Oh my gosh! Almost your turn too! Everything looks amazing. @ did a great job on your welcome letter. Your guests will love them!

Your tags on your fans are cheesy and for that reason I love them so much more. So adorable. I would get tears in my eyes receiving that fan. So cute!

Everything looks great girl!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
