Wafflesmom Moon Palace Planning Thread - January 23, 2016

Thank you @@acw271011 and @@vancouverpetunia

I'm sorry my promise of updates hasn't been kept. I officially start in my new position on December 23 so I've been busy with the handover leading up to it. It has been stressful so far and I've now developed an eye twitch. Apparently it could be due to stress so I'm hoping it goes away before the wedding. Can you imagine how awful that would look in photos? Lol I do have a week off for the holidays so I'm hoping to get back on track and have more updates for you guys.

@@Wafflesmom you're so funny - your eye twitch will go away before I'm sure! I get it when I'm stressed or tired too but it always goes away :)

What a day to start in your new position! I'm sure you'll do amazing!

Your BM gifts are beautiful :) and thanks for letting me know about the free apple trial! I'm def going to play around with it on the Christmas break!

OMG I had an eye twitch off and on for a year or two. It disappeared less than a week after my boss (who I hated) was fired! Think it was stress related?!? It comes back once in a while, and now I know it's a sign of stress for me. I'm sure it will be fine once you've settled into your new role. Good luck!  ;) (eye twitch LOL)

@@vancouverpetunia you're hilarious, that emoticon has now taken on a who,e new meeting for me lol Thank you for the vote of confidence, I'm hoping you're right in that it goes away once I settle into my new role. I'm having a meeting with my boss to determine how long they anticipate I'd be in the interim role. It was mentioned that they may not post the vacancy until after a review is completed of our program. I was in a meeting yesterday and they briefly mentioned that it may take at least 6 months for the review to be done....yikes (Eye twitch) lol

Update:

I've started going through some of the things I've bought for our wedding and I can't believe I forgot to post about our cake topper

As soon as I saw this cake topper, I knew we had to have it on our wedding cake! Derrick is an avid fisherman and has been fishing since he was 2 years old. He has the cute pic when he was young where he's carrying a fish that's bigger than him lol. We actually have an annual fishing trip and it was during our fishing trip in 2013 when he proposed to me. And on top if that, we met on Plenty of Fish! So you can tell why I had to have this cake topper

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
