@@krystalball thank you so much. I agree that it was nice that we were able to find a happy compromise with our colour scheme. Der always says that the wedding planning and decorating is entirely up to me but I'd rather incorporate things that he and I come up with. It is afterall our wedding

 

@@yycbride2016 I thought that I should finally jot all my planning thoughts down! Plus, it's always so helpful to get all of your opinions. It's funny that you guys looked at Moon Palace because we also initially considered Grand Sirenis based on my co-workers suggestion. We ended up choosing Moon Palace for its size, plus their group and wedding perks were pretty good too.

Bridal Party:

 

As soon as we got engaged, I started planning my own bridal party proposal. I knew right from the start who would make up my party: my sister as my MOH and my three best friends would be my bridesmaids. Being the eldest, my sister has always been there for me and I knew that on my special day, she would make the best MOH. I’ve known my three best friends since we were 10 years old. I have been a bridesmaid for two of them and I knew that I needed them by my side. Like every new bride, I turned to pinterest and etsy for ideas and these sites did not disappoint. I decided that I would propose with custom wine bottle labels. I found a seller on etsy that had our exact colours in one of their designs so I ordered them right away. If anyone is interested, the seller was very responsive and the labels were perfect.

 

The first person I “proposed” to was my sister. I came over for a Sunday bbq with the wine bottle in a bag and placed it on the counter. She immediately asked what type of wine I brought so I told her to look for herself. She looked at the label and immediately started crying and said yes!

 

I “proposed” to my bridesmaids during my birthday dinner. We all went out to a nice restaurant and I had hidden the wine bottles in a large bag. After dinner, we were all just chatting and they surprised me with my birthday present. After I opened my present, I told them to all close their eyes. They all looked confused but did as I asked. I placed their personalized bottle in front of them and then told them to open their eyes. They were so excited, and obviously said yes!

@ thanks! I'm sure you would have done the same or something more creative had your bridesmaids been local. I was lucky to have all them by me so it was easier to pull off

You ladies inspire me. I just asked hahah I was so dumb about all this stuff. I still thank all you ladies because my wedding would have been lame without this site.

@@Wafflesmom I love the personalized wine bottles SO cute and thoughtful!  I just sent personalized cards to my bridesmaids, but most of them live in a different town/state. The wine bottles are so nice!
