Aren't all belinis frozen? I've never had one that wasn't. Weird. Haha we do have milestones :)

Potential Colour Scheme & Bouquet Inspiration

Seeking advice from brides and brides-to-be!

I am in love with neutral colour pallets. The only thing I’ve known from the beginning is that I wouldn’t have ‘one’ particular colour; there is no way I could pick! I think I have narrowed it down to two colour pallets and I’d love your advice. I realize that we all have our own tastes so my question is not whether you like what I have selected (although I hope you do) but rather, do you think the pallets I have proposed are doable?

I’ve read in a few of your threads that after picking your colours or colour pallets that you struggled to find certain items that matched, ex. bridesmaids dresses, florals, chair sashes, etc. Based on your shopping experiences, how do you think I will do with these combinations? I feel since they are neutral I shouldn’t have a problem but hey, where’s the harm in asking?! :)

Thanks in advance!

PS. Mike is in BC for work and I text him the two colour pallets and asked for his opinion - his response "I like it, baby!" Gee, thanks for the input lol I guess I should be thankful he isn't demanding a Vancouver Canucks wedding theme. I’m sure when it comes time to pick the cake he will try and get some blue and green in there. He makes me laugh because he doesn’t see the need for things to match. When it took me ages to pick a STD because I wanted it to ‘match’ our wedding website he thought I was being ridiculous. I can only imagine what our wedding would look like if he designed everything.

I googled bellini's after reading your post and no they don't have to be frozen but in my opinion they ALWAYS should be. I am totally craving a Milestones bellini right now.

Also, don't judge but I didn't realize bellini's were an Italian thing?! BAM! Just selected our welcome cocktail and in turn can hopefully score some points with my FI's Italian family haha

@ashhtayy I love the "Rose, Blush and Gold"! They are both beautiful but I think the second one feels very romantic and I think it will be easier to shop for things that are in the pink tones. I'm seeing tones of stuff in blush these days!

Sean says the same thing as Mike about most things for the wedding like "love it!" or "sounds good"…it's hard to get any sort of strong opinion but at least I don't have to fight him on anything. I know he'll get picky as soon as we get to the BDR. He needs to be in the space to visualize it and then he'll go crazy planning the logistics and go all "mcgyver" on how to make it happen! haha! no joke, Sean usually rearranges most hotel rooms on vacations to maximize the space and make it flow better but forget trying to get him to plan a trip ahead of time…he would pack in a laundry hamper if I let him.  :blink:

Hahaha my husband was the same or cracked a lame joke. Like he wanted to wear banana hammocks when I'd ask about his attire. It's funny now but not so much back then.

I also agree that I love the second one better and feel you will have an easier time finding those colors. The flowers are all beautiful too.

Who knew belinis didn't have to be frozen. I like those frozen type drinks!!! And I also didn't know they were Italian!!

@ashhtayy

I love these color schemes. I also agree that the 2nd one had a more romantic feel. I think as long as you aren't like me and trying to stick to one specific color you will find it way easier to find items in that color pallet. I ended up opening my color up to more variations of the color (teal) because it was so hard to find everything in the exact same color. I think the colors you found should be pretty easy to find items in. I like to just do searches on Etsy and eBay for decor in X color. Might be helpful.

I actually think, looking up rose-like colored deocrations, you could go with a very minimalist look (which is great for transportation and budget). I think you could do lots of soft flowers on the tables and down the asile. It would be really simple but elegant!

@calgarybride2015 haha the banana hammocks reminds me of my FI. When the color sample came in for our groomsmens ties he said they were going to be stripper ties (because he really knows what kind of ties a stripper wears hahahaha). So I told him that he can wear a speedo and this tie for the wedding. Easy! haha He only thought they looked that way because they are satin and have a shine to them. But he refers to them as "sparkly" haha. Men!

Edit:

I realise what I've posted now is a little more "pink" than what you originally posted, but same type of concept in going minimal with soft flowers, etc.

I don't know if the bellini is frozen, I didn't even see it on the sheet haha. I hope the sangria is good and I would imagine that it's the red one. I'll ask when I get there how it is and I might change my mind haha.

@snswedding2016 @calgarybride2015 @yycbride2016

thanks for your input on our potential colour schemes. i think i like a combination of the two - perhaps gold, champagne and blush. we'll see! it isn't unreasonable to think i will change my mind 15 more times before committing lol so many decisions!

@TinkerSofi i checked our "sky wedding ceremony package" sheet and it says: sparkling wine, traditional mojito, bellini, blue lagoon, mango mojito, sangria or mango margarita. if the bellini is not frozen, i'm out! mike is interested in the mango margarita, frozen bellini and the sangria...ah, no decision yet :)

I love the Rose, blush and hold colour palette. I think it looks romantic and really elegant! But I'm a bit partial to pink since it's my favourite colour. Lol

And yes, bellinis can be of the non-frozen variety. It looks more like a small glass if champagne and is a really nice drink. It would go well with the second colour palette
