Looks awesome! The updated watercolour wash to the background adds an extra bit of visual interest. Great idea and I think it turned out perfect!

So today marks the one month mark until our guests final payments are due. Our TA emailed everyone on Friday reminding them of the March 28th deadline. I haven't figured out yet if she hates us or if she had to do this but 6 of the 8 paragraphs spoke about the zika virus...

Our numbers were up to 61 a month ago and this morning we were sitting at 53. Most of those that backed out were plus ones so we weren't too upset. This evening my sister-in-law who is pregnant confirmed she cannot make it and neither will our nephew (our ring bearer :( ). We are super sad they won't be there but understand their decision 150%. Thank goodness for the live feed on the Sky Deck - at least they will get to see us get married. We're also going to look into Zoom after @@snswedding2016's recommendation or just using FaceTime to see them :)

Final count as of 10pm tonight is 51 adults + 1 child. Of the 51 adults, 8 of our guests are 5-nights or less. We don't think we will have anyone else book and unfortunately have 2 more that may have to cancel due to health issues. Mike's cousins husband has been battling health issues for ages and they have said since day one they may not be able to make it. Fingers crossed he is okay and cleared to travel as we'd love to have both of them there with us.

Right now we have 8 "single" guests. 4 are an easy match and the other 4 are not. We're working with everyone now to try and sort out who can room together so that no one is stuck with the single fee (almost $500 more per person).

Guest Book Map - sent to print! It's coming from NYC and we should have it pretty soon :)

Etsy Vendor: MissDesignBerryInc

Cost: $71.58 for design, $34.30 for printing; total $129.74

This was more than we wanted to spend but it's the CDN $ that killed us. Her prices are reasonable before conversion lol We contacted other vendors and she wasn't the cheapest but her reviews were one of the best and we liked her work. Overall we are satisfied with the product - she also did 9 revisions! She was slow at first but picked up speed once she realized I had ordered and paid a month and a half prior.

Since I've posted a lot of revisions I'll include the final draft one more time.

Table Numbers & Signage - purchased tonight (except seating chart in case anything changes)! I had designed a bunch on my own but let's face it, I don't design things; I buy them. I tried!

Etsy Vendor: CharmingEndeavours

Cost: $2.76 - $5.54 per sign

I'm including shots from the etsy vendor - not updated with our menu or hashtag yet.

That's it for tonight. Time to STOP putting off the big things and let the little things wait. Hopefully by next weekend we have a few more decisions made :)

Everything looks amazing! Love the table numbers and signage.

Sorry to hear about your sister in law and nephew not being able to attend, and hopefully mikes cousins husband can make it - it's great that they can watch from the sky deck webcam! You are sitting at a really great number even with people dropping (which always happens) and as I'm experiencing now, people booking last minute... Good luck with the final payment deadline approaching!!! I'm sure everything will be fine :)

Everything looks great so far. I really like the third revision of your guest book map. I'm a sucker for bombshell font and probably overused it on all of my wedding signage haha.

Love the graphics you purchased from Etsy - very clean and simple, yet elegant :)

Also, I'm sorry to hear about the family that isn't able to make it. We had a few of those as well who had put deposits and then weren't able to for unforeseen circumstances. The week we were about to leave my uncle had a stroke so him and my aunt had to back out only a few days before and unfortunately didn't even get most of their money back.

Your special day will be amazing regardless and it's so great that you can stream your wedding from AF! :)

Pre-Travel Mailer - HELP PLEASE! :)

My plan is to send these to print the day we find out our final numbers and have them sent to our guests the following week. I've searched on here for ideas but they are all over the place and I'm probably missing some important tips, tricks, information, etc.

I would love if you could take a look at what I'm thinking of including (mostly all borrowed from other brides) and let me know if I've forgotten anything. These are meant for all guests and will not include specific timelines for our bridal party.

- Packing List: passport, travel docs, photo ID, cash/debit/credit, hat, sunscreen, bathing suit, long pants, collared shirts, bug spray, medication

- Wedding Attire: beach formal with examples (long pants and collared shirts for men and sundresses for women - heels are okay)

- Wedding Week Itinerary: welcome drinks, wedding ceremony, wedding reception, farewell brunch

- Resort Information: restaurants (attire, reservations - where needed and how to make, $ on menus - not for GI guests), room service, wifi, don't drink tap water, room key instead of wristband for food and drinks, on-site activities and shows

- Mexico: average high, average low, time zone, airport to resort, common words, off-resort activities

- Other: contact credit card company to let them know your travel plans, avoid time shares, include our wedding hashtag, if using whatsapp ask guests to download, map of resort, travel agent name and contact information

Thanks in advance :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
