Thanks :) I love it so much, it's super fluffy on the bottom and the basketweave on the top looks beautiful :) and I never in a million years would have picked it off the rack lol. The store manager brought it over to me.

Yes I'm not using those red carpets either @@Pottswedding2015, they're pretty ugly actually. I may be able to find a small wedge sandal, I'll have to look some more :P

My colours are Fiesta themed

It's a lot of colour for me lol but I figured it fit with the destination :)

Love your colors. I used the begonia from David's. It's beautiful.

Did the colour photograph ok? I know sometimes Magenta type colours don't look that great in photos for some reason.

I'm going to order some papel picado banners and my sister in law is knitting me some fiesta coloured flag garlands so that'll be most of my decor lol. I'm not going with much for flowers just my bouquet and the boutonnieres. Bridesmaids are going to carry fans, easier on the budget and practical lol.

I think but depending on the camera sometimes it looked darker than it was. I think it's more fuchsia than magenta though - well the begonia color anyways hehe. See my links below for my wedding pics :)

Beautiful pics :)

I see what you mean about it being more of a fuchsia than magenta. Looked great though!

Fuchsia was my color lol. I think indoors it gives off a darker feel but in the sun you get the bright pink that it is. Also depends on the material in which you are using the color in. The swatch is satin but our dresses were chiffon for the most part but a layer of satin under ..... so def different in that way.

I also didn't want the red carpet at the Gazebo and we mentioned something to our wedding coordinator.  In the end we ended up getting something that wasn't a carpet and the colour was a little bit more subdued.  Not sure how we ended up with it...but it looked great with our décor and didn't appear to be tacky.  We needed something because I could see one of my BMs taking a fall with their heels.  For the most part my BMs wore either flats or wedges.

We are so excited!  We are going back to the Princess this fall for a little R&R - yay!!!!!!!!!!

I'll have to mention about other carpet options when I finally get chatting with a WC . I'm ok with just the boards though, I will warn the BMs to wear flats or wedges lol.

A little R&R sounds nice about now and some hot weather !! I'm in NL and last Friday it was -1 here with the windchill :P Grossest July ever!

How are you finding the rates for the Grand Sunset/Riviera? The cheapest quote I've gotten back from my TA has been 1750pp from West Jet :P  The prices seem a lot more this year :s

$1750PP I think sounds good. I've never seen it that cheap as I've kept my eye open as I'd love to go there. Edit - except the $1250pp which blew me away.

I just wanted to jump in and say -1 in July?!?!? Time to move hahah jk!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
