Hi Ladies  :)

I'm looking for hair and make up for bride and 8 bridesmaids. I dont want to use my resort's service for that since I've been reading a not-so-good review about it

I have plans to hired Norma Zurama who did my BF makeup last year, but I´m not sure if the rates are high or no.

Bride makeup & hair: 200usd for both services,

Bridemaids 120 usd both services.

She did an amazing job, but I want to be sure if that is ok .

Thank you

Angie :)

Personally from my experience in the Riviera Maya that's a steal!!! We all paid more than that for my resort's spa - mind you they were awesome :) From my research you may not beat that so if you like her, Go for it :)

We used Styling Trio in January. I know for certain that the BM hair and makeup (airbrush, false lashes) was 150, or 90 for either of the services. For me it was either 350 or 375, can't remember for sure. They came to the resort so had to also pay the resort’s external vendor fee for each stylist that came, 2 in our case. So comparing that to your rates, especially if that is who you want to use, sounds like you have a great deal.

I'm signed up for Styling Trio as well and believe me, if you can get both services for 200 and you like them? Go for it! Mine is costing a lot more than that! Even when we got married in Jamaica almost 4 years ago, using the spa at the resort, which didn't turn out too well, was almost $300. Like @@calgarybride2015 said, if you're happy with their services, book them!

Trend and Art did an amazing job! I love the result and my boyfriend said I never looked better. What a nice comment on such a day :) This is exactly what you want, right? I wanted to look like myself, with a very natural hair and makeup for a beach wedding but still perfect for pictures and portraits. I got exactly what I asked for.

I can just recommend this great team! Their website is www.trendandart.com

I was going to use the Styling Trio, but with vendors fee, i twas going to end up being $700 total to get my hair and makeup done. I couldn't justify that.  I asked my wedding coordinator and she suggested VO Evolution.  My resort doesn't charge a vendors fee for them, and they are very affordable.

I've looked at them online and they do an amazing job - and Natacha, the owner, has been a dream to deal with.

Here's a link to their site -

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
