Beach Wedding Bouquet Help Needed

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

I'm hoping someone on here can help me.  I had put a deposit down on this bouquet that had starfish in it to go along with the theme of our wedding.  Long story short, I told the seller to keep my deposit...it was turning into too much of a hassle.  The hotel we are getting married at does give the choice of bouquets so I have decided to go ahead and do that since I found one I really like.  Problem is, I would like to add starfish to it.  I know on Etsy I saw starfish on a stick so that you can stick that into the flowers, and for the life of me...now I can't find it.  Anyone know where I can get these or have any DIY ideas that you think might work?  Whatever I do go with, needs to be durable to make the trip to Mexico.  TIA for any help!

Here are the starfish sticks. I'm considering getting them too:

and these ones:

I might play around with hot glue gunning some small starfish maybe onto skewer sticks or something like that. We shall see.

  • 2 weeks later...

I know sometimes if the seller is only doing things part time it may take a few days to answer. I also did inquire about something at the beginning of the year and never heard back from the seller at all. It can be a bit frustrating but have you done a search on Etsy to see if anyone else is selling them?

I did - and she seems to be the only one who makes those.  I have another woman on there that is making my

boutonnieres, so I just asked her if she could make them for me.  Plus, this way the starfish will all match.

Anyways, thanks for finding the idea for me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
