I Leave In 3 Days, Ladies!

Recommended Posts

I can't believe we're leaving in 3 days from now and our wedding is one week from today! Today is my last day in the office. I am prone to anxiety and my entire goal through this whole planning process was to put in the time and energy well in advance so that I wasn't completely panicking and stressing this final week and the first few days in Jamaica. I have to say, wedding wise, I'm in great shape!! My fiance is finishing up some final coordination/logistics details for a couple excursions we have planned, but I'm leaving all that to him and he has it under control.

I did hope I would be 95% packed by now, but work has kept that from happening. Try as hard as I could, but 3 big projects I thought were wrapping up came back around to be very needy in the last couple weeks! Even if I wasn't preparing to be off it would have been a tough couple of weeks, so it is extra crazy. I've had to work over the last few weekends, which is when I normally would have been packing. Hopefully I can pull it all together and keep my calm through take off!

Thanks to everyone for your support, ideas and advice over the last year! I'll post a recap thread when I get back since I didn't do a planning thread and share my stuff in case it is useful to those in the trenches of planning :)

@beckys98  Congrats! Jamaica weddings are wonderful! Really looking forward to seeing pics when you get back. Do try to slow down and make mental memories. They'll last a lifetime! Fingers crossed for fabulous weather, a good flight and plenty of flavorful Jamaica drinks! And Absolutely do a post-review when you get back. The ideas and reviews are always appreciated by the new brides coming in.

All the best!

Thanks, everyone! I just finished getting waxed and polished at the spa and I'm 98% done with my packing so I'd say I'm in pretty good shape. I truley can't believe how calm I am. We got an expensive bottle of champagne as a gift for our engagement that we haven't drank - I think we may just need to pop that open and have a little quiet celebration tonight before we take off for this wild ride tomorrow morning!

Cheers! I'll catch you on the other side!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
